Forms for E3 tenants!
Is there anyway to get Microsoft forms in our Enterprise E3 tenant? People need this feature and I saw NOTHING about Microsoft forms at Ignite. Can we expect any news about forms coming to other tenants besides education tenants by the end of the year?
Thanks for the response Lana. I think there is a gap that forms could solve that could be used in E3 tenants. Unfortunately InfoPath has been removed from the Office 2016 suite, so I don't think InfoPath is a viable solution going forward. Powerapps might solve some use cases, but in my opinion it is geared towards power users and those who are technically minded. If you're wondering why Microsoft Forms is a success in the education sector, I think it is because it's dead simple to use. I think we have a lot of users in our organization that need that simple tool for simple purposes and I think many other companies have the need for a simple forms tool as well.
Also, even Microsoft has used Forms for non-education purposes. I've attached a screenshot of an example where Microsoft used Forms to gain feedback/sign up information from multiple companies interested in testing the new Yammer edit post feature.
So if Microsoft can see the clear need to use Microsoft forms for non-educational purposes, I hope you'll also see that there is a clear need for this tool for E3 tenants.

I used Microsoft Forms for the first time in an E3 tenant today, I did have to switch the First Release for everyone on and as has been mentioned, I have now lost the ability to create SharePoint Communication Sites. Thankfully this is only a dev tenant!
First experience with Microsoft Forms was good, it was very easy to get started. Unfortunately, I had this weird issue where I couldn't share my survey on Twitter, probably not a general issue but it made the whole process moot. Twitter flagged the link as suspicious and got in my way from sharing it, which was the whole point of the exercise. This was the survey, incidentally - Microsoft Workplace Analytics Survey.
- Tanya DentonSteel ContributorAll good on E3 here. Signed in and now have access
- Dan PankonenCopper ContributorIs it showing in the app launcher?
Does it have the scheduling option as well as form and quiz?
Those seem to be the only 2 things I'm missing on mine..- Tanya DentonSteel Contributornot showing in app launcher yet. if I go to app launcher in Forms then it shows some apps as setting up! so I presume that it will appear once that has completed. Scheduling - not sure what you mean as have not used forms before so not aware of the feature. I just see same as you Form and Quiz.

Working for me in an E3 first release tenant, didn't see anything other than the license, browsed to forms.office.com and it logged me straight in.

Similar setup here, E3 with first release for my account. I show as being enabled within the E3 licensing for Forms but when I go to forms.office.com I just get the error about not being enabled.

Not working in all tenant yet.
Our dev FR tenant works great. Prod won't allow sign in just yet. Everything appears to be switched on mind.

Promising news it seems, if you trust the roadmap that is :)

I can also see it as GA but it's not yet available to users or visible in the waffle menu, so I presume it's still 'rolling out'.

Hi, did you ever get a response to this?
- EricDavisTechBronze Contributor
No, I never got a response for this. :(

Hi Eric, it's my understanding that as of now Microsof Forms is intended for only Education customers. The recommendation is that Microsoft InfoPath and Power Apps are the solutions for creating complex forms and workflows for the specific needs of enterprise customers.
