I need to print an entire email thread, not one email at a time.
I have an email chain of about 11 emails that I need to download into a pdf and I can't figure it out.
I've tried online and the Outlook app and I just cannot get it to work.
I've googled and searched in here and no, I can't find the answer. So, HELP, please!
I found that Microsoft 365 Online and new Microsoft desktop don't have a File menu. But at the top right of new Outlook desktop you can toggle it back to old Outlook and the File menu comes back, from which you can print a whole thread of emails. Here's where I learned that: https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/outlook_com/forum/all/cannot-print-entire-email-thread-in-new-outlook/e2552218-4be1-4ac9-a8b5-169c01ed75f1
PyrLove2005 ,
I followed your steps, and they worked for me on the web and New Outlook PC desktop when the entire thread was in one email using the Grouped Conversation. However, I could not print to PDF if I selected multiple emails from the Message Pane.
I am curious about a resolution as well.
I tried several methods.- I saved each email from the Message Pane to my local drive, hoping to combine them into one PDF. Since I don't have Adobe Acrobat Pro, this option failed.
- I tried copying and pasting the messages into one email. However, the print functionality did not print the content of the attachments. Again, I don't have Adobe Acrobat Pro.
Any suggestions?

If you're using the Outlook desktop application, you can follow these steps to print an entire email thread as a PDF:
1. Open Outlook:
- Launch the Outlook desktop application on your computer.
2. Locate the Email Thread:
- Find the email thread you want to print in your Inbox or another folder.
3. Open the Email Thread:
- Double-click on the most recent email in the thread to open it.
4. Print Options:
- In the open email, go to the "File" tab in the upper-left corner of the Outlook window.
5. Print:
- Select "Print" from the menu.
6. Print Settings:
- In the Print dialog box, look for the "Print Options" or "Print Style" section.
7. Choose Print Style:
- Select the option that allows you to print the entire email thread or conversation. This option may be named "Memo Style" or "Assembled" depending on your version of Outlook.
8. Printer:
- Choose the printer as "Microsoft Print to PDF" or any other PDF printer that you have installed on your computer.
9. Print to PDF:
- Click the "Print" button. This will prompt you to choose a location to save the PDF file.
10. Save PDF:
- Specify the location where you want to save the PDF file, enter a file name, and click "Save."
These steps should allow you to print the entire email thread as a PDF. Keep in mind that the exact options and menu names may vary slightly depending on the version of Outlook you are using.
If you're still facing issues or if your version of Outlook doesn't have the specific options mentioned, please provide additional details about your Outlook version so I can offer more accurate guidance. The text was created with the help of AI.
