task drop down not working

I have a project running with a number of task sections with indents, one of these has stopped displaying the sub tasks when i click on the triangle icon ( hope this makes sense) . All others are working. Is there an easy fix or would it be better to re-write this section?

    darren_h,

    I gather you have one summary line in your plan that does not collapse but all other summary line do. Correct?

     

    What version of Project are you using?

    Switch to the Task Usage view. Does that same summary line not collapse? If it does collapse in the Task Usage view but not in the Gantt Chart view, then I suspect possible corruption in your Gantt Chart view. Try this:

    1. Switch to any view other than the Gantt Chart view.
    2. Go to the Organizer (File > Info > Organizer)
    3. The View tab should be selected by default. If not, select it.
    4. On the right side, select the Gantt Chart view and hit "Delete" and "Yes". Project will automatically generate a new Gantt Chart view.
    5. Now select the Gantt Chart view 
    6. Can you now collapse the errant summary line.
