I have a GCC tenant, so not yet using App Centric Management :-( We've had some mixed results with 'overlapping' App Setup Policies in Teams, specifically in the case of users having other App Permission Policies assigned to them **in addition to** a specific App Permission + App Setup Policy 'pair' assignment that pushes/pins the app. Here's the scenario --- seems like it could be a common one: Teams App A - with App Permission Policy A - is assigned to Group A Teams App B - with App Permission Policy B - is assigned to Group B Teams App C - with App Permission Policy C - is assigned to Group C [New] Teams App D - with App Permission Policy D *and* App Setup Policy D to push/pin the app - is assigned to Group D, which includes some users already in Groups A,B,C QUESTION: Since the new App D Setup Policy specifically pins App D only, will this preclude the users who are also in Groups A,B,C from self-pinning & using Apps A,B,C they were originally given permission to? As mentioned, we've had some mixed results - so curious if anyone else has a similar scenario, or a good reference. We've done lots of searching - but most of the Teams app management seems to be pointing towards the App Centric Management which we don't have.5Views0likes1CommentTeams Email/Conversations
Hi. Recently, 3 weeks or so ago, we lost the ability to access Team email boxes from Conversations in SharePoint. In the past, we were able to open the email box from conversations but now when we do so, we are redirected to our own OWA mailbox and then to Groups. The Teams M365 Groups don't show up in that view. The only Groups that show up are O365 Groups or O365 Groups that were converted to Teams. We are extremely frustrated because we use these inboxes to receive emails from guests and other external users and it is impeding progress amongst our teams. Is anyone else experiencing this? We have a ticket open with MS but so far have not reached a resolution. Thanks!28Views1like3CommentsGreen Blocky Glitch on Shared Screen in New Teams Meeting
I have a user on New Teams that repeatedly has trouble with screens being shared in meetings by other people showing up as a Green Blocky mess on her end. So far we have cleared cache, uninstalled and reinstalled New Teams, updated graphics drivers, tested her internet connection (measured at 300Mbps down by 35Mbps Up and she is the only user on it) performed normal system maintenance (SFC, D.I.S.M, CHKDSK), and restarts galore. No luck. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.156Views1like3CommentsMicrosoft Teams Direct routing and external contacts
When external contacts are added or synced they are shown as telephone numbers instead of the name associated with it. Amongst others this is the case under quick dial. If you go to recent calls it's shown as the name. Tested on an xcover totally locked down, teams in a work profile on another android device. This is not the case on an iPhone SE 3 with company portal with teams. There under quick dials and contacts it's shown as the name of the external contacts. As you might imagine this is going to pose quite the hassle to our users that have to call with non organisation external contacts. Please advice :-)49Views0likes2CommentsExtracting Device and Participation Details in Microsoft Teams
Hi everyone, I am working on a project for my organization to extract detailed information about Teams calls. Specifically, I need to gather data on the devices used by participants, as well as their join and leave times for each Teams meeting. This includes both participants and organizers. My current approach involves: 1. Using Microsoft Graph API to access call and participant data. 2. Fetching relevant details such as device type, join time, and leave time. - What are the best practices for extracting and managing this data? - Are there any specific API endpoints or techniques you recommend for efficiently retrieving this information? - How can I ensure the accuracy and completeness of the data collected? - Are there any tools or libraries that can simplify this process? Looking forward to your insights and experiences! Thanks in advance for your help!42Views1like2CommentsCreate single temporary voicemail for all Teams Voice users

Hi Community, I was exploring the Office 365 Management Activity API documentation- https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/office/office-365-management-api/office-365-management-activity-api-reference and came across a few queries. I hope someone can help clarify these: Maximum Volume of Data: What is the maximum volume of data (e.g., MB/GB per day) that we can retrieve using the Office 365 Management API for Microsoft Teams? Is there any specific limit documented? Filtering Logs by Workload: When sending requests to the Office 365 Management API, how can I fetch logs specific to Microsoft Teams? I tried applying the filter Workload: MicrosoftTeamsin the request, but it also returned logs for other workloads. Below is the API URL I used for the request: https://manage.office.com/api/v1.0/<TENANT-ID>/activity/feed/audit/<contentID> I checked the documentation but couldn’t find specific guidance on these points. Can anyone provide insights or share examples of how to resolve these issues? Thank you in advance!38Views0likes2CommentsControlling emails to channel
Hello, We have an RMM that emails a Teams channel when a server is offline. What they've started doing though is emailing again when it's back online. Is there a way to filter emails out that start with 'RE:' that go to the Teams channel? As the email isn't routed through our Exchange, the mail rules wont apply. Kind regards Tom10Views0likes0CommentsChanging the default tab of a channel
Hello, is it possible to change the tab, that is initially opened, when you switch the channel to the tasks - tab? I did not find a way to achieve this, but I have a variety of channels in place and would always like to start with the respective task tab of this channel. Regards, Christian58KViews11likes12Comments
