554 TopicsUI for custom font and color schemes in Office for macOS
Hello, I am not 100% sure if this is the correct discussion space, but: until now there is still no user interface for macOS users to create a custom font or color scheme! On Windows it is so easy; on macOS you have to dig up weird directories and write an XML file. What gives? Turns out you can't just change the Proofing Language for an entire presentation in PowerPoint. You have to select text boxed one by one in order to change the proofing language. So the question is, is this the only way or there is some workaround to it? Thanks.Solved232KViews1like31CommentsDisable Copilot in Microsoft 365 Personnel et Famille
Hi, I was particularly annoyed to see the Copilot icon appearing recently on all products (word, excel,...). Impossible to disable it on Mac. Particularly bugging as I definitely do not want to either test or use Copilot. What can be done? Or when the issue will be solved? Hi, we have an issue with at least 4 different computer configurations where an embedded .mp4 movie in a PowerPoint presentation crashes when scrubbing in the playback bar. The problem occurs only in the edit mode of PowerPoint. There is no problem in full screen mode (after pressing F5). PowerPoint version is the latest (Microsoft PowerPoint for Microsoft 365 MSO (Version 2212 Build 16.0.15928.20196) 64-bit). The biggest commonality between these machines seems to be the Intel Iris Xe integrated graphics unit. It occurs regardless of the operating system (both Windows 10 and 11, latest updates). The problem does not occur when the integrated GPU is disabled via Device Manager on a laptop with an additional dedicated GPU. Intel driver as well as system drivers are up-to-date. Both Dell (manufacturer of the laptops) and Intel support (integrated GPU) were contacted, but referred to contacting Microsoft as they did not find an issue on their end. Since this is a major problem for us when editing presentations, is there any way to install an updated driver or work around the problem? Any help would be appreciated.3.9KViews2likes7CommentsUse mobile device as PowerPoint controller and more
So I have been looking around and the only thing I can find is a reference to an old PowerPoint remote controller app for Android from many years ago that is no longer supported or available. However, I do still have the want to be able to control a PowerPoint being presented from my mobile phone, tablet, etc. and be able to navigate the slides at a minimum, but if I could do some highlighter/markup capabilities, that would be even better. So here I am reaching out to the Microsoft PowerPoint community to see what I am missing here. Anyone have any suggestions or ideas that I could do to achieve the above? Thanks.43KViews1like6CommentsSupercharge Your Business with Microsoft Tools: Create Stunning Documents and Presentations

Format Your Documents Like a Pro For small businesses, documents produced in Word makes you look more professional and grown up. Word provides a wide range of templates for various document types, including reports, proposals, and invoices, ensuring that your business documents always look professional. One of the most powerful features in Word is Real-time Co-authoring, which we first introduced in 2013. It allows multiple people to work on a document simultaneously, which is incredibly beneficial for small businesses and teams who want to work together while meeting short deadlines. Here’s how it works as it enables live collaboration while ensuring your company looks its best. When a document is stored in OneDrive or SharePoint, multiple users can open and edit it at the same time. Changes are visible in real-time, so you can see what others are working on as they do it. Word automatically saves versions of the document, so you can track changes and revert to previous versions if needed. Authors and Reviewers can make Comments and Chat with one another and discuss changes directly within the document. Best of all, Co-authoring works on Word for the web, desktop, and mobile apps. So team members can collaborate from anywhere, using any device and get work done much faster with Co-authoring. Other popular features that come with Word include: Themes, which provide a coordinated set of fonts, colors, and effects to apply to your entire document to make it look consistent and visually pleasing. Charts and Tables: you can insert and customize charts and tables to present data clearly. This is useful for reports and proposals. Watermarks: To enhance document security and branding, you can add text or image watermarks (like “Confidential” or your company logo) to the background of your document. Themes, Charts and Tables, and Watermarks can make your document stand out with very little effort from the author. Word makes it easy for your work to shine, and start building a beautiful company brand. Export to PDF: To ensure your document cannot be edited and stays as you intended, you can turn it into a PDF. Doing so is easy. Just go to the “File” menu and choose PDF under “Save As”. This process ensures that your document looks the same on any device and is easy to share or print. Your work stays the way you intended it to look. Just like in PowerPoint, press the Designer 2 button on the Ribbon to access more capabilities that can make your document more visually appealing and professionally-looking: Enhance the appearance and consistency of your document though Design Suggestions, which provides a variety of design themes and layout options that you can apply to your document to make it more visually appealing. Formatting Consistency, which automatically identifies and fixes formatting inconsistencies in your document, ensuring a uniform look throughout. Smart Recommendations: Based on the content of your document, Designer suggests relevant design elements, such as fonts, colors, and styles. Until recently, Microsoft Office 365 Word offered an "Export to PowerPoint" feature that worked flawlessly. This functionality was exclusive to the Office 365 suite and required the input Word document to be formatted in Outline layout. The utility utilized PowerPoint Designer to add themes and graphics to the presentation automatically. However, this feature seems to have disappeared in recent weeks. Now, the only available export options are exporting to PDF, XPS, or occasionally Kindle. What happened to the "Export to PowerPoint" feature? Could it be an option that needs to be enabled or an add-on that requires installation?78Views0likes2Comments
