Re: Group chat with guests
From my experience, you can chat with your guests if they were invited to a meeting that you or a member of your tenant scheduled. I believe Teams meeting chats can go on until a party decides to leave the chat. I have not had success arranging a 1:1 chat with an external guest (i.e. a user not in our org's tenant). This is because of our IT policy against that. Your org may have a different policy configured for guests. I1.7KViews1like1CommentTeams Live: Internal Event Group Chat
Hello, I'm producing a Teams Live event with 7 presenters and wanted to know a solution for the internal event group chat. I use the internal chat to alert presenters of the run-of-show, etc. The issue is when they're sent 'Live,' you can hear the ping of the internal chat echoing in the background. I searched for a solution (e.g. forums; YT) to this production concern and couldn't find one. Here are my questions: How do you silence or mute the internal event group chat? What solution do you propose to mitigate the chat ping? What are better ways to cue presenters w/o using chat? Thanks!
