Re: Forms for E3 tenants!
Thanks for the response Lana. I think there is a gap that forms could solve that could be used in E3 tenants. Unfortunately InfoPath has been removed from the Office 2016 suite, so I don't think InfoPath is a viable solution going forward. Powerapps might solve some use cases, but in my opinion it is geared towards power users and those who are technically minded. If you're wondering why Microsoft Forms is a success in the education sector, I think it is because it's dead simple to use. I think we have a lot of users in our organization that need that simple tool for simple purposes and I think many other companies have the need for a simple forms tool as well. Also, even Microsoft has used Forms for non-education purposes. I've attached a screenshot of an example where Microsoft used Forms to gain feedback/sign up information from multiple companies interested in testing the new Yammer edit post feature. So if Microsoft can see the clear need to use Microsoft forms for non-educational purposes, I hope you'll also see that there is a clear need for this tool for E3 tenants.23KViews7likes12CommentsForms for E3 tenants!
Is there anyway to get Microsoft forms in our Enterprise E3 tenant? People need this feature and I saw NOTHING about Microsoft forms at Ignite. Can we expect any news about forms coming to other tenants besides education tenants by the end of the year?Solved27KViews3likes48CommentsRe: Forms for E3 tenants!
To all those who may be reading this thread, please vote this feature up in UserVoice via the following link so that Microsoft will see the need and prioritize this. https://microsoftforms.uservoice.com/forums/386451-welcome-to-microsoft-forms-suggestion-box/suggestions/17043988-enable-forms-for-business-enterprise-users#comments23KViews2likes8CommentsRe: Curious- Are you allowing all users to create O365 groups or limiting self-service creation?
We recently (within the last month) enabled self service creation. When every group is created we append the prefix "Group - " to the group name. We are looking forward to the Groups expiration feature that Microsoft mentioned at Ignite to deal with the problem of Groups that become unused.4.7KViews2likes0CommentsRe: ROLLING OUT: SharePoint Online team sites + Office 365 Groups & Pages
I've been testing the new modern pages and I'm very excited for the potential. However I'm disappointed that the amount of web parts in the toolbox is very limited at this time. When this was demoed during the Future of SharePoint event, https://youtu.be/0NyxhMlIGeA?t=3454, many awesome web parts where in the toolbox, but I don't have access to very many of those web parts now. Also in the blog post, it appeared I was going to be able to embed a Yammer group on my modern page easily, but I'm not seeing that option. How soon will the web part toolbox gain more web part choices? Below is an example of the web part choices I see in the toolbox.4.8KViews2likes12CommentsRe: SharePoint Online vs. Microsoft Teams for Project Management and Cross-Site Document Searchability
Can't you use the new search capabilities on the SharePoint home page to search across all the modern team sites (Office 365 Groups) you belong to/have access to? Wouldn't this allow you to search across team files in multiple SharePoint sites? https://support.office.com/en-US/article/Find-news-sites-and-portals-in-Office-365-6b85097a-87e0-4611-a29a-dfd49b1a12207.6KViews1like7CommentsRe: Searching for (Office 365 Group) Private SharePoint Team Sites that users are not members of
It's my understanding that if you're not a member of those groups you won't see them in Delve or SharePoint search because when you're not a member of a private group, you do not have permission to view the associated SharePoint site. Because Delve and the new SharePoint search is security trimmed according to existing permissions, you won't see those group sites that you are not a member of. You would be better off going to Outlook Web Access and clicking Discover and search the group directory there.7.2KViews1like1Comment
