Re: New Outlook: MAPI / Exchange
The "new" Outlook is a replacement for the "Windows Mail and Calendar" app. As such, it's not really Outlook in the classic sense. The "new" Outlook is really a webview container that renders mail in a custom window. So, when you are interacting with the user interface, you're really working with a webpage from the mail server. That's why there's no mapi involved with it. I don't think microsoft will ever try to add mapi to it because mapi is a "client side" technology that whereas the new outlook is all server side (excluding the html/css rendering). Bottomline...you'll have to continue with classic outlook for any requirement of mapi usage.3.1KViews0likes0CommentsRe: Autoreply for Distribution lists "Thanks for your..."
You might be able to do this with a transport rule if this is for Exchange Online. There is a transport rule action to "Notify the recipient with a message". Note that i don't think this feature exists in on-premises exchange and you didn't fully describe if you're on-ground or in-cloud for this. If you are on the ground, you don't have as much option for this.707Views0likes0CommentsRe: How to export Office 365 mailbox to PST?
alainajodi Priasoft has just released a new product, Super-ExMerge that carries on from the old exmerge utility. It's PowerShell based and very high performing, using multiple threads and queues to process data. Creating a new sync task is done with only 3 cmdlets: 1. New-ConnectionInfo - provides the base connection details for the source and target 2. New-SyncTask - uses the connection info and allows for customization of the sync process, like excluding folders. 3. Add-SyncTask - add the output from #2 above. I've observed that if a new PF mailbox is created and is excluded from serving hierarchy it seems as if it never receives a full copy of the hierarchy. Is this by design, impatience, or an issue? Is...0likes0Comments
