Access to Exchange Admin Centre blocked using most (but not all) URL links
Suddenly, when I try to use most of the published links to the Exchange Admin Centre, including the links on the Microsoft 365 Admin Centre, my access to the Admin Centre for Exchange is blocked. The messages vary but the most common one is "admin.exchange.microsoft.com closed the connection". All of the links for the other admin centres work just fine for me (Teams, InTune, SharePoint etc.) - it's just the Exchange Admin Centre link that are mostly problematic. Two examples of links that don't work for me: https://admin.exchange.microsoft.com/?landingpage=homepage&form=mac_sidebar https://admin.exchange.microsoft.com/#/homepage The only link I can find that still does work for me: https://admin.cloud.microsoft/exchange#/81Views0likes1CommentRe: How do I book a meeting room for an invite that has been sent to me
As it's a duplicate - everything about the original invite (including the Team meeting details) is duplicated in the, well, duplicate. Before you save it, just delete all of the other attendees - they don't need to know anything about your duplicate - that's just for the meeting room AV system.36Views0likes1CommentRe: How do I book a meeting room for an invite that has been sent to me
It's 4 years later but the only improvement I can find in all of this time is that Outlook Online (which we don't use) has a neat feature that allows you to duplicate a meeting. Two clicks to duplicate - delete all of the attendees, add the room and send. All of the problems you mentioned with duplicated meeting still exist, but if you're duplicating meetings 4 years later while STILL waiting for Microsoft to fix this then this (new?) duplicate meetings feature (only in Outlook Online, sadly) is great 🙂2.4KViews0likes0CommentsOutlook calendar shared outside organisation but all users can create entries
Hi Everyone, Who would like a calendar queation?? We want to; 1)create an Outlook calendar 2) share it with selected people outside the organisation 3) allow them and us to create entries that all of us can see So far we can achieve only 1 and 2. The external people can create entries, but we can't see them. And they can see the entries we made before we shared the calendar, but not the entries we made after we shared it. My questions are - is 3) even possible - and should we be using Outlook to create this community calendar or should we be using something else? Thank you for reading.384Views1like0CommentsRe: Sync in new Edge is or isn't available to O365 Business Premium customers?
Deleted There's nothing wrong with M365 (well, they're probably is, but generally speaking the Office suite is all good). This issue is with the free Microsoft Edge mark 2 browser. You can login to the browser with your M365 account. If you go to another computer, you can also login to that browser with your M365 account. But unless you can sync the browsers with your M365 account, the passwords and shortcuts on each computer will be isolated. All free Microsoft account and M365 paying customers can sync the browser EXCEPT for M365 Business Standard customers. M365 itself is not affected by this issue.3.5KViews0likes0CommentsUsing Teams in a room (not 'Teams Rooms' and not a 'Breakout Room')
This is about a team of people that uses Teams in a real room room with real tables and real chairs without using a "Teams Breakout Room" virtual room and without special equipment in the room therefore it's not a Teams Rooms scenario but rather it's a team using Teams in a room - clear as mud? * We have a meeting room with a regular PC that folks (I won't call them team members here) can log in to if that suits what they are doing (hosting a meeting and presenting a PowerPoint, etc.) - the regular PC display is large and wall mounted for all to see and there is a webcam and bluetooth microphone/speaker connected * Well after this physical meeting room was setup, our folks started to use MS Teams * The equipment in the room isn't special and it has a regular keyboard and it doesn't have a special touch screen panel, therefore we can't use "Microsoft Teams Rooms" in that room * But we regularly have day long meetings that might begin with person A and person B in the room and then an hour later they will walk out of the room and person C and person D will walk in to replace them and continue with the online MS Teams meeting * As none of our people will be in the physical room for the whole meeting, none of them want to be the person that logs in and uses their account to launch Teams (because they'll need to leave the room at various points in the meeting and therefore they don't want to login with their user account) * So the area I need help with is this: - It seems that "Teams Rooms" is a special confluence of equipment and licensing, we don't have the right equipment to use "Teams Rooms" - Is there a way to simple have a Teams Resource account for a room, so that we can log the computer in as the resource account, launch Teams and then find a Teams meeting link, without needing a paid M365 user account for the room? - It needs to be a setup such that users A, B, C and D can walk into and out of the room as they please without worrying that the other users can assess their user account while they are out of the room This might seem blindingly obvious to some, but I've just read dozens of online Microsoft pages that seem to contradict each other.1.2KViews1like1CommentA OneDrive big selling point is also a problem - compression is needed sometimes
Our team of trades people take several photos on their iPads at each location they work at. The photos automatically upload to OneDrive and are automatically shared with the administration team. Awesome! However, we have a problem in that the photo files size is too large to use, and you can't change the default photo resolution settings on an iPad. So we might need to switch over to using Google Drive, because Google can automatically compress photos to around 25% of their original file size with no noticeable degradation in photo quality. See attached examples using the same original photo. To avoid us from using Google Drive when we already pay for OneDrive, are they any auto-compression options in the pipeline for photo uploads to OneDrive (similar to the Google compression)?11KViews1like2CommentsRe: Sync in new Edge is or isn't available to O365 Business Premium customers?
Henno_KeersYes, it more or less boils down to this: - there are several types of 'microsoft account' - some are free, the rest are subscription - when the new Edge was being created, the intention was to make Sync work for all accounts - when the new Edge was launched, Sync only worked for some types of accounts - the roadmap seems to be to make it work for all accounts eventually - but for the moment, it doesn't work for O365 Business Premium accounts - so for all MS O365 Business Premium account subscribers, actual Chrome is still the better browser (at least for the time being)5.5KViews1like1CommentRe: Sync isn't available for this account
MissyQ Just to clarify: If you use Office Business Essentials or Office Business Premium, and you have 1000 users in the tenant, and you want them all to use sync with the new Edge browser, then all you have to do is this: subscribe to 1 xAIP P1 license for $5/month, and that will allow all of the 1000 users to access sync in the new Edge?9.3KViews0likes0CommentsSync in new Edge is or isn't available to O365 Business Premium customers?
Hi MissyQ On another thread you posted that sync in the new Edge browser was available for "regular users" and "for specific enterprise users as seen here." That link lists these enterprise users as being able to use sync in the new Edge: Azure AD Premium (P1 and P2) M365 Business Premium Office 365 E3 and above Azure Information Protection (AIP) (P1& P2) All EDU subscriptions My organisation uses Office 365 Business Premium, which I believe has been re-branded to Microsoft 365 Business Standard, and this is not listed at the resource you linked to. Can you clarify for me - is Sync in the new Edge available to all customers in the above list, and to all "regular users", but is specifically not available to enterprises using Microsoft 365 Business Standard? Thanks.Solved5.6KViews2likes6CommentsRe: Sync isn't available for this account
MissyQ The most annoying this about new Edge is that Google searches about 'Edge' gives you years and years of search results about the old Edge and almost nothing about the new Edge. The second most annoying this is that while you can use your company O365 account with new Edge, it doesn't sync your bookmarks or favorites or passwords - so nobody wants to use it. The third most annoying this is that after all the hype and promise, launching without syncing just makes it another in a long line of browsers in the 'less-useful-than-Chrome' category.22KViews0likes0Comments
