Make OneDrive easly navigable from browser
In the browser, would be useful to be able to navigate folders using the address bar of the browsers like in Windows Explorer so, for example, we can do something like https://onedrive.live.com/<userId>/documents/myfolder/mydocument-docx This way if I know the position of a folder (as very often happens), I can reach it quickly.480Views1like0CommentsRe: Improvements to history in Microsoft Edge
William Devereux This new History pane is good and I really missed it from the legacy Edge. But there is one thing that I think need to be addressed: the entries are grouped by date but the header of the groups are quite unrecognizable, maybe the header need to be a little bigger and maybe a small indentation need to be added to the history entries, also could be usefull if we can collapse the groups as we could with the old Edge32KViews0likes0CommentsRe: Tab Group separator
if I click using the wheel or choosing "Open in new tab" Internet Explorer and previous preview of the new Edge automatically create a new group of tabs I find very convenient and I hope you will bring back this behavior. Another question is that in the new implementation when a tab in a group is selected the line indicating that it belong to a group is gone, this make less clear that the tab is part of the group, especially for the last tab in the group. IMHO the implementation in IE still better. And finally we need more options for groups like, now we can only add a tab to a group or remove a tab from a group, will be usefull if we can: 1) close all the tab in the selected group (as already available in IE); 2) close the others tab and leave only the tabs in selected group open (as already available in IE); 3) add the group to favorites; 4) add the group to a collection; 5) refresh all tab in the group; 6) Open a favorite folder as a group; 7) Open a collection as a group4.4KViews0likes0CommentsRe: Reading List - Discussion
Elliot Kirk This days I really miss Reading List I want to save some pages to read later, the workaround was to add that pages to Favorites but also Favorites are a really really mess compared to the Favorites of old Edge (even for the mere fact that you can pin the Favorites pane to the side). In the next day I will try to use Collection as a replacement for Reading List. As for today I can say that there is the need that Collections integrates with Nearby Share feature13KViews0likes0CommentsRe: Provide run / open / save / save as options when downloading files - Discussion
The worst thing of the current download behavior (and one of the biggest reason why I hate Chrome) is the fact that you can't choose what need to happen when you click on a link to a file. The browser always download the files in the same folder, or you need to always tell to the browser where to save the files. But some times I'm ok if the file is downloaded in the Download folder, most of the time I need to change the download location, many other times I don't need to keep a copy of the file locally (for some installer for example, or some documents) and find really annoying to have to manually goto the Download folder and remove those files by hand. So what I really really really need is a way to temporarily easily override the default behavior and switch between the option to save, save as or run/open the file that I have to download (or whatever option will be available.8.1KViews2likes0Comments- 4.9KViews0likes4Comments
Tab Group separator
I don't like the tab group separator it waste space and it is not clear its intent. I prefer way more the old Internet Explorer's approach where the tabs in the same group have the same color while different groups have different colors. This seems to me much more immediate and communicate immediately what tabs are part of the same group5.1KViews3likes13CommentsRe: UI
The new Favorite button is a step in the right direction, but still not what we need. In the classic Edge the old panes (Favorite, History, Download, ect.) could be pinned to the side, this new flyout always disappear when click somewhere. We need the option to pin this flyout, but is even more important to have a pinnable flyout also for History and Download!4.2KViews3likes0CommentsRe: UI

Many times I have to read or edit documents "on the fly" without the need to save the original document on the local computer. With the new Edge (and with Chrome) every time i click on the link it download the files in the default location so in the download folder you end up with 2, 3, 4 or even more useless copies of the same file that pollute your download folder. Even more if you enable the option "Ask where to save each file before downloading" you need to provide a save location before you can open the file making the thing more annoying. With the old Edge (and with IE) instead when click on a link and select "Open" the browser not only download silently in the temp folder (which will be cleared after some time) but if you try to open multiple times the same file from the same link the browser uses the same cached file without downloading multiple copies of the that file, without wasting space and opening the file much faster4.7KViews4likes3CommentsRe: Feature Request: Display Open/Save As option for files just like old Edge/IE
I know, and that's the point (and the problem): the download experience of the new Edge, at this time, is exactly as in Chrome/Chromium. I hope that Microsoft will implement a download experience more in line with the current Edge experience, and I know and understand that this requiere some time to be implemented. But with my comment I only want to put out some others regressions that we found and give feedback to Microsoft about these, given some use cases and provide more context so to enable Microsoft to understand why we would like that these issues be addressed by Microsoft in the near future and plan how to address these issues3.2KViews2likes0CommentsRe: Feature Request: Display Open/Save As option for files just like old Edge/IE
The actual behaviour of the save dialog is really weird, with the "legacy" Edge you can easly choose to save to default location or select a custom location, with the new Edge you are always prompted for a location or never prompted (and save to the default). Also when the download ends with the "legacy" Edge you have the three options (run, open folder, show download) Immediately available instead of having to click on the ellipsis (the 3 dot) button and choose show folder, which is the thing that i do the most.3.2KViews3likes2CommentsFeature parity with Find on Page
The "Find on Page" feature in the "legacy" Edge have the really usefull options: "Match whole word" and "Match case" which, as the names suggest, enable as to find on a page for a whole word and/or make a case-sensitive find. The Find on Page in the new Chromium-based Edge lacks these options and we really need these to be implemented3.8KViews11likes8Comments
