Export file not updating on-disk size
I'm working to break down this 16G PST file into 4.5G chunks for DVD backup. Following the instructions from a previous post [1] I created a new Export file, opened it in Outlook, and drag-and-dropped selections of messages onto this opened Archive. I ended up with one file with 6.6G. Evidently it contains only 2019 and 2023 dated messages. Ok, not ideal, but that's what backups are about. My plan was to duplicate this file, then rename one 2019 and the other 2023. Which I did. Next, I deleted the 2023 dated messages from 2019 file, and all of the 2019 messages from 2023 file. The result was the 2019 file was reduced in size to 0.8G, but the 2023 file has not updated it's size. I expected it to drop to ~ 5.8G, but it's not changed since this morning. I've closed the archive file. I've restarted Outlook. I made sure the 2019 files were deleted from the Deleted Items folder. And the folder in question, Sent Items, only lists the expected 2023 dated messages. Didn't budge a kilobyte. How can I make this archive update it's size? My work email is "Microsoft 365 Apps for business" account, and I'm getting a warning "Your mailbox is almost full". I've read I basically have four options: Enable Online Archive. Increase the mailbox size. Move messages to a PST. Third-party email archive solutions. I would like to manually create a local PST backup. I found this page here:Archive items manually (Outlook for Microsoft 365 Outlook 2021 Outlook 2019 Outlook 2016) I completed the listed steps... now what? I don't see any change in the Mailbox size. I didn't see Outlook "do anything".473Views0likes2CommentsSOLVED - Drag to “fill” not working -- copies value and not formula - #2
I found this post title which describes the same issue: drag to “fill” not working – value is copied, formula ignored That solution is "missing a 'relative' reference". I don't think that's the problem here. I have an exported bookkeeping account worksheet with three columns: Debit, Credit, Balance. I'm looking for missing transactions and short payments. All of the cells currently are values, and this is the only formula. First, I'm inserting a blank line, and adding an adjusting calculation (A). Then I update the Balance column with a simple formula (B) to create a running balance with DR - CR.--bog simple. For a reason I can't understand, when I drag the corner handle down to lower cells (C), Excel correctly copies the cell formula with incrementing references (D), but it flags an error and displays the same value. Starting the WVD client [1] on my Lenovo laptop running Windows 10 I didn't have to do anything for my second monitor to be recognized. This was my first test of the WVD client, and it looks fantastic. After just a short time I had aproblem with the alignment of the WVD window desktops and my client machine's desktop. My primary is on Lenovo laptop (2880 x 1620) and secondary is Lenovo ThinkVision 17" (1280 x 1024). When on the second monitor, if my mouse scrolls off the edge, a blank area is revealed, and both monitors are misaligned with the display. I've experienced similar effects using third-party [2] remote login software. Once I enabled two separate windows, the scrolling problem was resolved. WVD is behaving in a similar manner--if I click on the WVD Desktop title bar and move it down, both monitor windows pull away in one large window (see image). What is the solution for resolving multi-monitor alignment with WVD?
