The annual inflation rate in Angola eased for the third month to 29.17% in October 2024, the softest in six months, down from 29.93% in September. Still, it remains above the Central Bank’s 23.0% target for the end of this year. On a monthly basis, consumer prices increased by 1.55% in October, the least in 16 months, slowing from a 1.63% rise in the prior month. The largest price increases were seen in hotels, cafes & restaurants (2.06%), health (2.06%), clothing and footwear (1.84%), and alcoholic beverages and tobacco (1.81%).
