Estonia's industrial production rose 2.5% year-on-year in October 2024, rebounding from a 1.5% drop in the previous month. This also marked the first growth in industrial activity since April, as output rebounded for manufacturing (3.5% vs -2.1% in September). Meanwhile, output tumbled for mining and quarrying (-2.8% vs 10.4%) and electricity, gas, steam and air-conditioning supply (-7.4% vs 0.9%). Estonian Industrial Output Drops the Least in 4 Months
Estonia's industrial production fell 1.5% year-on-year in September 2024, easing from an upwardly revised 6.1% drop in the previous month. This marked the 25th consecutive month of contraction albeit the softest since May, as output fell at a softer pace for manufacturing (-2.1% vs -6.5% in August). Moreover, output increased sharply for mining and quarrying (10.4% vs 1.9%) and rebounded for electricity, gas, steam and air-conditioning supply (0.9% vs -5.6%). On a monthly basis, industrial activity slowed to 0.9% in September 2024 from a downwardly revised 1.7% gain in the previous month.
