This marked the softest drop in the current downward trend, as sales decreased at a slower pace for textiles, clothing, footwear, and leather goods in specialized stores (-2.4% vs. -11.6% in October), non-specialized stores with food, beverages, or tobacco predominating (-3% vs. -4.2%), and other retail sales in non-specialized stores (-2% vs. -2.6%). Additionally, trade growth accelerated for mail orders and internet sales (10.1% vs. 8.4%), while sales modestly recovered for automotive fuel in specialized stores (0.1% vs. -0.4%). In contrast, trade declined more sharply for audio and video equipment, hardware, paints, glass, and electrical household appliances in specialized stores (-6.1% vs. -4.1% in October) and food, beverages, and tobacco in specialized stores (-15.9% vs. -8.8%).
