The current account surplus in the Euro Area rose to €32 billion in October 2024 from €17.8 billion in the corresponding month of the previous year. The goods surplus increased to €32.7 billion from €17.5 billion in October 2023, as did the services surplus to €11.1 billion from €3.9 billion. At the same time, the primary income narrowed sharply to €1.1 billion from € 9.5 billion a year ago, while the secondary income deficit fell marginally to €12.9 billion from €13.1 billion.
