Industrial production in Georgia advanced 13.6% year-on-year in the second quarter of 2024, accelerating from a 9% jump in the previous month. It was the strongest growth in industrial activity since the fourth quarter of 2022, as output broadly rose for mining & quarrying (25.3% vs 5.1% in Q1) and manufacturing (15.8% vs 11.5%). On the other hand, production growth slowed for water supply, sewerage, waste management & remediation activities (15.2% vs 17.2%), while activity declined further for electricity, gas, steam & air-conditioning supply (-3.3% vs -1.4%). On a quarterly basis, industrial output was 8.4% higher than the prior three-month period.

Industrial production in Georgia rose 9% year-on-year in the first quarter of 2024, accelerating from a 7% increase in the previous month.
