Hungary’s gross average wages increased by 11.9% year-on-year to HUF 695,109 in November 2024, easing from a 12.9% growth in the previous month. This marked the smallest increase since February 2023, as the wage growth slowed for all sectors, including private (11.3% vs 12% in October), public (13.9% vs 15.8%), and non-profit sector (12.8% vs 14.7%). Without the impact of one-off payments and bonuses, November’s wages were 11.9% higher than in the same period a year ago at HUF 613,700.
