This marked the sixth consecutive month of expansion in retail turnover but the softest pace since January, due to a notable slowdown in food sales (3.3% vs 6.9% in September) and further declines in trades of information & communication (-25.1% vs -12.1%), cultural & recreational goods (-0.8% vs -3.1%), and home appliances (-6.5% vs -7.0%). At the same time, sales growth accelerated for fuels (9.3% vs 8.1%), clothing (1.7% vs 0.5%), and automotive parts & accessories (8.8% vs 3.5%). For November, retail sales are expected to rise by 1.7%. On a monthly basis, retail sales were muted, up by just 0.01% following a 2.5% drop in September.

This marked the fifth consecutive month of increase in retail turnover, with sales mainly rising for food (6.9% vs 8.0% in August), fuels (8.1% vs 4.3%), clothing (0.5% vs 2.7%), and automotive parts & accessories (3.5% vs 1.4%). Meanwhile, sales dropped at a faster pace for cultural & recreational goods (-3.1% vs -0.2%), information & communication (-12.1% vs -9.8%), and home appliances (-7.0% vs -5.7%). For October, retail sales are expected to rise by 1.0%. On a monthly basis, retail sales fell 2.5% in September, reversing from a 1.7% gain in August.
