Kosovo Trade Deficit Widens in October
Kosovo's trade deficit widened to EUR 493 million in October 2024 from EUR 446.5 million in the same month last year. Imports rose 10.1% to EUR 580.3 million, where most purchases came from Turkey (14.7% of total imports), Germany (14.6%) and China (12.0%). Meanwhile, exports increased by 8.6% to EUR 87.3 million, where most shipments were to Albania (20.8% of total exports), North Macedonia (12.3%), Switzerland (10.6%) and Germany (10.5%).

Kosovo Trade Deficit Hits 9-Month High
Kosovo's trade deficit widened to EUR 498.5 million in August 2024 from EUR 455.8 million in the same month last year, marking the highest deficit since November 2023. Imports rose by 11.2% to EUR 582 million, where most arrivals came from Turkey (15.1% of total imports), China (12.9%) and Germany (12.8%). Meanwhile, exports increased by 24% to EUR 83.5 million, where most shipments were for Albania (24.1% of total exports), North Macedonia (17.1%) and Germany (10.4%).
