Annual inflation rate in Luxembourg edged down to 0.8% in November 2024 from 1% in the previous month. This marked the lowest inflation rate since February 2021, as prices moderated for food & non-alcoholic beverages (0.7% vs 1.3% in October), alcoholic beverages and tobacco (3.92% vs 4.15%), health (1.96% vs 2.33%), communications (0.64% vs 0.66%), hotels and restaurants (3.02% vs 3.14%), and miscellaneous goods and services (1.88% vs 2.59%). Prices fell at a faster pace for housing & utilities (-1.2% vs -0.7% in September 2024), while it dropped slower for transportation (-1% vs -2.1%). Meanwhile, prices eased for food & non-alcoholic beverages (1.3% vs 1.5%), clothing items & footwear (0.7% vs 1.1%), restaurants & hotels (3.1% vs 3.7%) and miscellaneous goods & services (2.6% vs 4%). On a monthly basis, the CPI fell 0.3%, following a 0.4% drop in the previous month.
