Slovakia's current account deficit widened sharply to EUR 1,245.1 million in December 2024 from EUR 597.8 million in the same month last year. The goods account gap rose significantly to EUR 910.7 million from EUR 438.4 million. Additionally, the secondary income balance swung into a deficit of EUR 68 million, compared to a surplus of EUR 119.1 million a year earlier. The services account surplus also fell to EUR 24.1 million from EUR 31.3 million.
