Slovakia Current Account Deficit Widens in November
Slovakia's current account deficit widened to EUR 339.4 million in November 2024 from EUR 332.5 million in the corresponding month of the previous year. The goods account posted a shortfall of EUR 36.3 million from a surplus of EUR 29.3 million in November 2023, while the secondary income deficit increased to EUR 113.6 million from EUR 107.2 million. Meanwhile, services account surplus went up to EUR 56.2 million in November 2024 from EUR 30.8 million a year earlier, while the primary income shortfall decreased EUR 245.7 million from 285.4 million.

Slovakia Current Account Deficit Widens in October
Slovakia’s current account deficit widened to EUR 303.1 million in October 2024 from EUR 108.2 million in the same month last year. The goods account surplus shrank to EUR 38.9 million from EUR 216.8 million a year ago. At the same time, the secondary income gap increased to EUR 89.7 million from EUR 59 million. On the other hand, the services account surplus rose to EUR 37.9 million from EUR 31 million, while the primary income deficit narrowed slightly to EUR 290.1 million from EUR 297 million.
