Household spending in Sweden rose 1.1% month-over-month in November 2024, rebounding from a 0.3% fall in the previous month. Consumption rebounded for recreation and culture, goods and services (3.2% vs -0.2% in October) and transport, retail sales and services of motor vehicles (0.4% vs -3%). Additionally, spending accelerated for clothing and footwear (1.4% vs 0.5%), post and communications (14% vs 2.4%), restaurants, cafes, hotels and other communication services (0.7% vs 0.6%), and other goods and services (1.1% vs 0%). Meanwhile, consumptions slipped for furniture, furnishings, household equipment and consumables (-0.2% vs 3.9%), while it edged lower for housing, electricity, gas and heating (0.6% vs 0.8%).
