Sweden New Orders Decline Much Slower
Total orders received by Swedish industries fell by 1.0% year-on-year in October 2024, sharply moderating from a downwardly revised 5.4% decline in the previous month. Orders from the domestic market shrank at a softer rate (-5.5% vs 12.4% in September). On the other hand, overseas demand grew by 2.7% after edging lower by 0.1% previously. On a seasonally adjusted monthly basis, new orders rose by 1.0%, partly recovering from a 3.8% decline in September.

Sweden New Orders Fall in September
Total orders received by Swedish industries fell by 5.7% year-on-year in September 2024, following an upwardly revised 2.5% rise in the previous month. Orders from the domestic market tumbled (12% vs 2.3% in August), as well as those from customers abroad (-1.1% vs 2.7%). On a seasonally adjusted monthly basis, new orders dropped by 3.6%, shifting from an upwardly revised 4.3% increase in the preceding period.
