This marked the highest inflation rate since August, as prices accelerated for food (4.05% vs 3.82% in November) and housing (2.38% vs 2.32%). Additionally, costs increased at a faster pace for miscellaneous goods (2.55% vs 2.51%) and health (2.44% vs 2.13%), while deflation eased for transportation and communication (-0.32% vs -0.44%). On the other hand, costs slowed for education & entertainment (0.94% vs 1.26%) while deflation continued for clothing (-0.85% vs -0.09%).
