International arrivals mostly came from Malaysia (22.94%), Singapore (2.07%), the Philippines (11.03%), China (12.94%), India (22.50%), Japan (13.88%), South Korea (28.79%), Australia (10.67%), and the US (6.55%). Considering the first ten months of the year, foreign tourist arrivals jumped by 20.17% to the largest at least since the onset of the COVID pandemic in 2020 of 12.66 million. The government expects tourist arrivals to rise between 9.5 to 14.3 million this year, supported by improved aviation infrastructure and a smooth presidential race earlier in the year.
