Kazakhstan’s current account deficit widened to USD 2.9 billion in the fourth quarter of 2024, up from USD 2.3 billion in the corresponding period of the previous year, preliminary estimates showed. The trade surplus narrowed significantly to USD 2.93 billion from USD 5.2 billion a year earlier, while the services shortfall increased to USD 0.52 billion from USD 0.5 billion.
