North Macedonia’s trade deficit widened to $303 million in November 2024 from $256.7 million in the corresponding month of the previous year. Exports slumped by 10.4% year-on-year to $694.8 million, while imports fell at a softer 3.3% to $997.8 million. Considering January to November period, exports dropped 5.4% compared to the same period a year earlier to $7,832.8 million, mainly due to lower sales of mineral fuels, lubricants and related materials, chemicals and related products n.e.s, and miscellaneous manufactured articles. Meanwhile, imports declined at a slower 0.2% to $10,988.1 million, primarily attributed to decreased purchases of crude materials, inedible, except fuels, manufactured goods classified chiefly by material, and mineral fuels, lubricants and related materials.
