This marked the first rise since August, with new work expanding after falling in the prior 15 months (0.9% vs -1.9% in October). However, repair and maintenance activity shrank for the first time since August 2020 (-0.7% vs 1.4%). Monthly, construction output rose by 0.4%, an upswing from an upwardly revised 0.3% decrease in October, supported by rises in both new work (0.3%) and repair and maintenance (0.5%).
