International arrivals to Vietnam rose 27.4% year-on-year to over a five-year high of 1.75 million in December 2024, following a 38.8% rise in the previous month. Visitors from Asia grew by 28.1%, mainly led by Laos (142%), Philippines (107.7%), China (65.6%), Indonesia (47%), India (39.8%), and Taiwan (19.8%). Additionally, arrivals from America grew by 20.7%, specifically from the US (25.6%); while those from Europe jumped by 24.4%, particularly from Russia (105.3%), Sweden (94.1%), Norway (80.2%), Denmark (45%), and Italy (42%). Moreover, tourists from Australia and Africa rose by 38.9% and 2.2%, respectively.
