On Wednesday 11 December 2024, the final event of the year for the Benefit Corporations Community took place. Organised by the Torino Social Impact Ecosystem in collaboration with attorney Emanuela De Sabato, president and founder of Futura Law Firm, the event brought together participants from ten different organisations, from diverse backgrounds.
The main focus of the meeting was to explore the alignment of benefit corporate purpose with company’s goals. The benefit corporate purpose is a statement that describes the goals and activities of a benefit corporation, a type of company that, in addition to pursuing economic objectives, commits to generating a positive impact on society and the environment. This concept was introduced to promote a more sustainable and responsible business model, where companies integrate common benefit goals into their bylaws.
During this event, participants had the opportunity to share their experiences, ideas and learn how to structure their benefit corporate purpose. Additionally, they explored the importance of periodically re-adjusting it to accommodate evolving needs and objectives.
This event was part of the Fit4Benefit project, which seeks to promote shared knowledge through collaboration and the exchange of expertise among all participants. For more information about this project and future events, visit the Torino Social Impact website.
