30-35 min away from the city center by taxi when no traffic. 50 min by train. Seems to be messy and a bit disorganized, and very big. but once you get used to, it is a passanger friendlyairport.
Bienvenue à Paris! Take a cab an go fast to the city of love. Or you can also take the airpor bus, witch bring you to Opera. When you are arrived, you take a citybus or the famous Metro (subway).
You should prepare at least 3h beforeThe passport checks are a very long two lines.before you go down by escalator & the maze down stair. But you can ask to cut the line if your flight will leave soon
Air France ground personnel and the security screeners are he kindest and most professional, ever; have good sense of humour as well - it's a gift... :-)
Easy airport to get into, though I had a bit of time returning my Avis vehicle to Terminal 1, ended up driving around a couple of times. The people were nice and the process of boarding was a breeze.

If u wanna do tax refund..its very easy. Come to custom office, left side of emirates check in counter..and tell them you cant speak france..and they will stamp directly and then go to Cashier.
Huge airport but it's psycho expensive. Everything you can buy here is cheaper outside. Best duty free is in front of Gate A43, the ones near Gucci, Prada etc are crowded!
There is no Lufthansa lounge at this airport. But with 15min free wifi and a 10 Euro Voucher for the cafe at the gate it comes close to an air china first classlounge anyways.
Go to Relay, buy a cliché postcard of Eiffel Tower and send it home to your kids. The mailboxes are painted yellow. Ask the cashier at Relay for the right amount of stamps to buy.
If you miss a flight (Air France) contact the customer desk. They gave an alternate flight to Basel although for next day and from Paris Orly. Vouchers for hotel, airport transfers & food included.
An improvement since last time I travelled through here... You must really look for the signs and the place can be very confusing. Oh and smile to the staff as much as possibly, it will help a lot ...
Be sure to check the terminal from which your flight is departing. There are 3 of those and walk can be quite long between them. Free wi-fi available through all the airport.
If it's early enough in the morning or late enough at night, you might find this airport is not too bad. Then again, you have a red-eye ahead of you, so it's a trade-off.
Quality duty free stores with everything you want to take home: wine, cheese, foie gras, macarons and chocolates. Unfriendly staff, confusing airport, be sure to check your terminal before going.
Terminal 2E is annoying - no priority pass lounge & few cafe-type places (1 Starbucks, 1 pret, 1 yo sushi). Nowhere to have a GLASS of wine - only caviarbar, plastic cups everywhere else :(
If you're changing terminals, allow at least 1h30 for connection. And pack some hand luggage with essentials, because your suitcase might not make it to the destination at the same time as you!
Europe's second busiest airport (after Heathrow) with many terminals. Be prepared to walk long distances. Free newspapers are available in the transit area.
