A varied range of packages to choose from. If you take medication there is a lot of questions. I know they’re necessary to ensure you get the right coverage. Just take care with the yes or no questions as it’s easy to tick the wrong boxes.

I eventually got there and was pleased with the choice of options, eventually picked one to suit and at the right price.

Competitive price and easy to use website won me over for my travel insurance. Used several times over the last few years. They tend to send you discount codes as an existing customer which keeps me coming back each year. Keep up the good offers & I’ll be a returning customer year on year.

Very easy to find the level of cover you require and also to arrange insurance from your chosen date.
No experience of their response to a claim - fortunately never had to make one in the past. I’ve used this company for many year’s.

used alpha for long term travel (9months) across south east asia and were fantastic! had a 4 day hospital stay which i put them in contact with the hospital in thailand and they sorted everything and i didn’t have to pay anything. my cover specifically had no excess so was able to claim for any and all small doctors trips and was able to claim all money back no problem at all, even added an extra document mid claim and that money was also claimed back extremely easily! very helpful and perfect for my trip

Any insurance is only as good as the response they give when needed. I chose Alpha because of past experience in their handling of a claim.
As always their Web page is easy to get both a quote and to accept their insurance. The prices are acceptable with plenty optional add ons and the fact there is no upper age limit is one of their best selling points. I was given a quote quickly after declaring my medical problems and had no need to phone for help.
Altogether an easy process to follow.

I have used Alpha for many years. I have luckily never had to claim but I have spoken in the past to an agent and she was most helpful.
This time when purchasing I had to add two medical conditions. This was easy to do with relevant drop downs once medication was logged. The price was more expensive understandably but was cheaper than I expected. I shall continue to use Alpha as I am very satisfied. Thank you Alpha!

I am glad to say that I did not need to use the insurance whilst we were on holiday and so I cannot comment on that part of the process. The purchase of the insurance before we went on holiday was straightforward.

I’m an a woman of over 70years and the quote I got for my travel insurance was the cheapest out of 3 other quotes I got. The gentleman I spoke to was quite pleasant and patient. He explained in great detail all about the type of policy that will meet my needs, I’ve insured with Alpha many times over the years pre the Covid pandemic .

Alpha travel took care of everything when I was taken ill in Turkey, they made sure that everything was paid, Ben arranged for our room at the hotel for my wife if she had to stay on as well as arranging private transport if need to get me home, they even contacted me to see if I was ok and had any problems before closing out my claim. Brilliant service and I would highly recommend them.

This rating is due to the time wasted filling out multiple forms and details, only to have to contact support to find out cruise cover doesn't apply to long trip policies.

If this was stated on their cruise cover page it would save a lot of time and effort.

The issues started when I tried to make a claim. They make taking your money easy but getting anything back almost impossible. I couldn't access my policy via their website and couldn't submit any claim - you have to sign up to some dodgy third-party website. In the end I dealt with them via emails but they were slow to respond, didn't read my emails properly and despite the fact it's clear I'm still traveling said they needed physical copies of my medical reports and for me to phone them!
