Excellent Customer Service

We booked a campervan in New Zealand through this company but our flight changed and we had to change our booking date. Csenge handled our enquiry like a champ and changed our booking promptly! They also confirmed questions we had about additional drivers and Sunday pickups and I didn’t feel afraid to ask as many questions as I need to. Brilliant experience with their customer service team

Booking done

Booking done - Journey still ahead. The booking was quite easy. All necessary information were structured and detailed on the booking page of Camptstar and not hidden behind pages of pages of text compared to other portals. If the journey will work like the booking this holiday will be georgous.

Quick resolution via chat

I accidently booked the wrong camper. Luckily it was resolved with the camper company within hours without any extra cost thanks to the swift response from Campstar via the chat.

Excellent!

I booked a Camper last month but I had some problem with payment because I hadn't a credit card yet, so I contacted the assistance that help me to extend my payment link until I have solved my problem.
They are so kind and available to help you with every issue.

Change of reservation

We had to change our original vehicle reservation to a smaller vehicle.
Communication with support by phone and email was easy.
I was kept up to date every step of the way. The support was very friendly and helpful.

Great booking experience

The bookingprocess is great and realy straight forward. Also the bookingconfirmation looks nice and you have everything in one mail.
I made a mistake when i booked and wrote to the support, the time until they answered was a bit slow (3working days), thats why i gave 4/5 Stars

Unnecessarily complicated

Rate is displayed in a different currency than what gets actually charged to the credit card. Very intransparent.

Second payment to be made within one day is a joke. Why so complicated? Let's make one full payment instead.

No possibility to add an extra driver when booking.

The only reason to use Campstar is because I get a corporate discount. There are better booking platforms beside that.

At this time, we don’t offer the option to pay in full, but we communicate payment conditions and deadlines throughout the booking process.

Regarding your booking, I want to highlight that it already includes a free additional driver, which is why it’s not listed to be added as an extra. I've requested our team to review the offer details to ensure that this information is clearly displayed.

Really competent and friendly / Kompetent und freundlich

Sandra is a really competent and sympathetic employee who takes time for the customers and pays attention to their special needs.

Customer support is good

Customer support is good. Offers are good as well.
What is a bit annoying: The search algorithm is buggy. Cars that popped up before, are not popping up for the same search hereafter. When you search again, the previous cars pop up again.

Amazing customer service. I highly recommend to anyone

I had a very great experience with campstar. By far, I recommend them to anyone and for sure my next rental will be through them.

We had some issues with the local dealer and called campstar. I can't remember the name of the person who answed ( maybe Agnes?) but she was so amazing and nice ! And literally did everything she could to help us and bring some ease. And everything did work out great. It meant a lot to have this full support especially when being in a foreign country.

I recently discovered campstar and was…

I recently discovered campstar and was pleasantly surprised with my booking experience. They had a great amount of campervans to pick from, and all the information was clear. I was surprised when I realized the price I saw was the price I paid (This is very different from my previous experiences with other websites offering campervan rentals). However, what made me pick to book with campstar rather than other booking sites was their well-rounded approach to my trip. Not only was I able to book my campervan through them, but I was also able to discover campsites to visit. Overall, it was an easy process and I had a great trip.

You are using a not trustworthy payment…

You are using a not trustworthy payment partner (Mangopay). I needed to verify transaction with my bank. Furthermore your mails are miss leading. in case I need to pay further 80% why do I get the voucher? Why do I get no second mail confirming that i payed the full 100%.

All this leads to a non trustworthy experience in terms of cybersecurity. Furthermore I payed 2€ more than shown in your bill as the transaction was made in a foreign currancy. Thus, its issue to exchange rate. This information is not presented in the main details. You need to search for it and conclude asking your bank.

Processing CC payment as cash advance

Campstar processed my credit card payment as cash advance creating cash advance fees and interest charges. After complaining, Campstar agree to refund me the fees incurred, however, almost two month later another cash advance fee show up on my credit card for Campstar adjustments. There has been three cash advance fees and I had to pay my credit card balances earlier in order to avoid interest charges. I would stay away from this merchant that does not disclose this practice.
