We spent a great day with Ruby and Colin. Ruby's teaching style is fantastic and we were quickly into the groove at the forge. For anyone thinking about experiencing blacksmithing - just do it and we highly recommend this course.

A wonderful morning spent with Yvonne Wood. Yvonne was so welcoming, introducing us to needle felting. We were a small group of 5 so we had plenty of individual attention. Lots of explanations and demonstration to help achieve a lovely baby hedgehog. I was so pleased with the result. I would definitely recommend a class with Yvonne.

Fused glass art for the garden
With no previous experience of this craft, having been bought the session on fused glass art for the garden as a gift, I arrived at Diane’s workshop with some trepidation. I needn’t have worried I was immediately put at ease by a warm welcome from Diane and Andy as well as a welcomed cup of coffee. Diane explained the details of the day and the idea of the end product. We then looked at some examples within the workshop which helped shape my own ideas. Having had a practice, under Diane’s guidance, of cutting glass I was let loose to create my own design using all the materials and equipment Diane supplied. There were lots of different shades of glass with which to work and under Diane’s watchful, expert eye I created my own piece of art! In a relaxed and friendly atmosphere my time at the workshop flew past. I would highly recommend this activity and Diane’s workshop. Diane’s enthusiasm for arts and crafts is infectious and has certainly got me hooked. I am now considering my next project which I intend to undertake at Diane’s workshop.

A day of utter pleasure learning a new craft. My nephew and I spent a day with Jane learning about hot wax batik and many other ‘crafty’ things. We produced some reasonable art before we left and both feel confident that we could improve our skill with practice. Thank you to Jane for her gentle tutoring and on point tips and help. The cups of tea were great. ��. "

What a brilliant course. I learned so much. Rosanna is a really chilled tutor and no question was too silly. There was huge selection of leather to choose from and I made 4 items during the day. I admit I was concerned about the hand stitching element but that was unfounded as we were shown the correct way to prepare the leather before sewing and as it turned out I found the process quite meditative.
I can definitely recommend this course.

Brilliant course, my daughter and I left the course wearing a smile and carrying our new little felted pet mice.
Jonathan is a great teacher and very talented. The day passed quickly and we all had good fun throughout.
We are both keen to progress and look forward to his next, more advanced course.
We both highly recommend this if you’re considering learning a new skill, or developing your skills further.

I purchased the 3 hour welding course for my partners birthday. Roger was extremely welcoming on arrival, run us through the different welding techniques and most importantly safety. We had the opportunity to test our very beginner welding skills on test pieces and then moved onto welding together a dragon fly. The end result was far from perfection but something to be proud to hang in the garden at home. If you are a complete beginner, advanced or something in-between Roger will be able to taylor a course to suit your needs.

What a great creative experience, at “Creative Vibes� Glass blowing experience. With Ricky’s clear guidance we went from zero knowledge to being able to make blown glass objects. We each created 4 individual glass pieces Paperweight, teardrop art piece, a vase/bowl and a bauble. Good fun and something a bit different.
Really can’t wait to see how they have turned out in the next few days when we can collect them once they’ve cooled sufficiently.

I received this as a Christmas gift from my wife. Although I was a little sceptical at first I was more than pleasantly surprised at the quality and expertise that the course offered. Not only were the tools and materials of excellent quality but also Christine was a very experienced and knowledgeable teacher in her craft. I thoroughly enjoyed my day and would highly recommend this to any friend or family member. An excellent gift!

Very knowledgeable and experienced instructors. Great set up with everything you need. Loads of time actually welding. An excellent course which I would whole heartedly recommend to anyone wanting to get started or refresh on basic MMA and MIG welding. A very enjoyable day.

Great experience buying a gift voucher for my partner. I chose to have the voucher posted rather than just printing it off at home, and it turned up within a week (in Christmas post) and looks very nice. Lots of courses for him to choose from near to us or further afield.

We had a great day making the embossed bauble. Melanie gave very clear instructions and we were delighted and a little surprised at how good our work was! It felt a little rushed at the end and we would have liked more time to finish, but that may just be us being a little slow!! All in all, a great morning, well led and we had chance to chat with each other at the same time.
