Saved Christmas

Saved Christmas!
When my internet went down on Christmas Eve, it was panic stations! I called Cuckoo at 9am, and spoke with a lovely girl who organised for an engineer to come out. 10am they arrived and replaced something and it was back up by 11am. Great customer service, and I would recommend Cuckoo to everyone!

The customer service man was…

The customer service man was excellent.straight forward instructions on the setup of my device.friendly and had an extensive knowledge of info.so happy I've switched to Cuckoo

I had an excellent experience with this service. The entire process of ordering and installing a new fibre connection was smooth and stuck to the agreed schedule. A special thanks to my Sales Executive, Marcel, who was highly professional and personally ensured my transition to the new provider was seamless and hassle-free.

Ashleigh was excellent this morning

Ashleigh was excellent this morning.
Service has been excellent since it came on. I'm only giving 4 stars just because we were without service for a whole day and the agent I spoke to prior to Ashleigh could've been a bit more helpful. I'm sure this may have been down to experience though so I'm not overly upset with his service.

Have used Cuckoo a few times now

Have used Cuckoo a few times now, they are reliable and offer good services.

Shambolic from start to finish

Shambolic from start to finish. Just been automatically transferred from Giganet and only taken a few weeks to mess up. No WiFi, with a red eero. Rang on Thursday, promised a call back on Friday. 18:00 Friday, no call. I call them and they say engineer been booked for Saturday. Wait in all day, no show. I call back, they apologise and say they didn’t book the engineer. They say they will book one for Monday. Guess what, no show. Looks like I’ll be left without WiFi for Christmas.

Terrible service, terrible company and nothing but false promises.

Amazing

Had issues setting up but all the staff I spoke to went out of their way to help. Very polite and friendly which I was actually quite surprised by due to other providers. Due to the issue setting up I was actually given compensation which was amazing. What more could you ask for.

A quick and simple procedure

A quick and simple procedure of switching from another broadband company. Cuckoo has informed my old provider and sent me a router 5 days before the online day. Reoter setup has consisted only of choosing the name and password for my network. One week online now - everything is fine.

Cuckoo broadband has been the most…

Cuckoo broadband has been the most reliable broadband I have ever had. I can sit at the very end of my large garden and still have perfect signal and speeds over 400mbps even at the end of the garden. Indoors its over 900mpbs wether using their own speed check app or more independent ones the results are always the same reliable low ping and great upload and download speeds.

The eero mesh routers are simple to set up literally plug in download the app on your phone and away you go. You can use Amazon speakers to extend the range of your WiFi aswell.

Their customer service is something that cannot be compared against. Whereas most companies don't care anymore about wether a customer stays or returns. Cuckoo do. They really treat their members like one of the flock and it's a pleasure to be a customer.

Cons: gift card rewards should be faster would have came in handy for Christmas

Pros: super speeds, super reliable, super customer service.

Recommendations: you should bring out a little reward for customers who stick around as there's not much to reward loyalty yet there's always an offer to reward new customers at most places.you should give the customer a "twig" every time they pay their bill on time and in full. Once they have 11 twigs enough for a nest maybe you could send our a Google nest as a reward. Quite fitting wouldn't you say? Cuckoo, nest, twigs, then Google nest as reward. It is as if it's meant to be.

OK. Don't expect too much. Good for the price.

*Important* - Currently, at the end of 2024, the service is provided by CGNAT. This means that your IPv4 address is shared with other users on the Cuckoo network. This means that you are unable to open a port on your router and locate your connection with an IPv4 DNS lookup. This could be an issue with some games and internet services.
For most users this won't be an issue. If you work from home or game it might.
I found the customer service and technical support was excellent. We were able to identify this issue very quickly. Customer service experience was very positive.
I also found that the speeds were not that great, but close to other providers, just a little slower. As I say, this wouldn't be a problem for most users that just surf and stream. I didn't have the service long enough to determine the stability of the connection or if there were drop-outs etc.
Currently (end of 2024), the service is competitively priced. There is a reason for this, which the majority of users would not struggle with. However, you do get what you are paying for.

Great service since joining Cuckoo 4…

Great service since joining Cuckoo 4 months ago, on the day switch was simple with minimal interruption. No issues since being live with much faster speeds than experienced with my previous provider! Highly recommend!

Okay in the end, but room for improvement

Everything to begin with was fine switching online was easy and given my start date, router was dispatched and arrived the day after it was sent out. I was emailed to say my connection was live 10th of December ( my go live date) and BT switched off, I had no access to the internet the whole day the router would not connect. Called customer support who told me it could take 24-36 hours to actually connect and that was basically it, nothing they could do. Absolutely useless.

I didn’t have time to argue as I needed to get back online for work, I had to work elsewhere for the day, fine but don’t email saying your connection is now live and send a bill when I’m not even connected. It’s infuriating. Especially if you need to wait 24-36 hours, that’s not live.

Tried again morning 11th still not connecting so I called again 11th of December first thing and spoke with Ashleigh who solved the issue within 5 minutes and had me up and running, made sure everything was working, ran everything through and was polite and more importantly apologised, I was expecting an argument but came away pleasantly surprised.

Why couldn’t have this been done the first day? Would have saved me having to ring twice and having to work somewhere else putting me at financial and time burden.

Cuckoo Customer Service

Me and my husband both spoke to Faye about a query with out direct debit for Cuckoo. We received efficient service and Faye was so helpful and kind.

Very easy change to Cuckoo as my ISP

Very easy change to Cuckoo as my ISP, no issues on their part whatsoever.

Leaving Vrginmedia however ... does this company actually screw up on purpose? They sent an email confirming a disconnection date ... and didn't disconnect on the day. "Oh, we have no trace of this disconnection request" .... they sent a flipping email they have no trace of??!!??
