Having originally pledged my voucher to Openreach in mid-2024 I heard nothing back, but after investigation found that they were not planning to connect in my area. So followed up on lesser known Kloud9 who happened to be in the neighbourhood installing ultrafast broadband. What a good decision.
Kloud9 have been brilliant. Customer service involved contact with other human beings able to answer 'off-piste' questions and who actually followed up to ensure things were happening and to our satisfaction.
The Engineering Team who completed the installation, involving sinking cable rather than the easier overhead connection were first-class and went out of their way to meet our requirements.
Overall, really impressed with Kloud9. Wish my dealings with other service providers were as easy.

Super-impressive Kloud9

I recently had my installation…

I recently had my installation completed. A new pole was placed to effect the connection and the installer was very helpful. The speed is very good in both directions. Customer service has been excellent.

Kloud9 great customer service

Kloud9 recently stepped in when we were facing issues having an installation done. Within days Kloud9 had us up and running, fully understanding the urgency we had, and despite some issues with the positioning of the router, their excellent customer services team solved the problem bringing us lightening fast speeds. Both the customer service and technical support teams were incredibly efficient in making sure we were fully operational.

Incredible service from beginning to…

Incredible service from beginning to end.

One of our neighbours further up the Dhustone Lane informed me that fibre was on the cards, so I immediately I pledged my support. I’ve looked at Lease Lines in the past, but these were incredibly expensive and I was overjoyed to hear ‘Fibre To The Premise’ was going to be rolled out in our area. I was putting in touch with Julie at Cloud9 who was very helpful and friendly, she explained the gigabit grant and what I needed to do to enrol into the government scheme. With Julie’s help was far easier than I originally thought, I’ve sorted this out for my clients in the past and it’s been a real pain, but she made everything so easy.

Installation day arrived! The fibre installers (Wanda(?) and Alan) were friendly and very helpful, they liaised with me regarding how I wanted the fibre Link attached to the cottage, and the final job was discreet and obtrusive, more importantly they cleaned up afterwards.

The next paragraph gets reasonably technical, but I wanted to put it in just to show how easy it was to sort out problems with the guys on the Support desk. I’ve dealt with a lot of support desks in my career and these guys were brilliant. It’s a small team with incredible knowledge and willing to help you resolve the problem. Shout out to Coner who was so helpful.

The engineer installed the Kloud9 Linksys router and it functioned as intended with speed in excess of 900 Mbps, a massive improvement over my old VDSL connection speed. My existing system was reasonably sophisticated, using a Draytek router with VLAN tagging and I really wanted to integrate the Kloud9 FTTP to my existing Unifi set up. During the installation process the engineer passed me over to their tech guys and I explained exactly what I wanted to do. They were incredibly helpful and suggested one or two options, in the end we bypassed the Linksys and connected my Draytek directly into the ONT. Unfortunately, the speeds from Kloud9 were so very fast my Draytek Vigor 2860ac could not cope, the poor thing was struggling to throughput any more than 350 megabits a second. In the end I decided to rehash the network and plug the ONT directly into my Unifi Security Gateway, this required going back to the support team and getting them to change their system to allow connection, they were ‘on the case' straightaway and worked with me to integrate my systems. Really impressed with the support guys. Callum, head of IT is doing a sterling job with his team.

Okay, closing thoughts. Kloud9 team of people working together to create an excellent experience. Incredibly helpful and willing to go the extra mile to make the transition to their systems seamless. Their FTTP product appears to be robust and stable (it’s only been in place a week), and the price point is excellent. Full 10 out of 10 - Definitely recommended.

Kloud9 left us on Cloud 9. A+

We live in rural Shropshire. Our copper broadband has always been laughably bad and prevents working from home, gaming and something as innocuous as watching Netflix

I heard Kloud9 were working nearby and set about seeking out their services. I held a public meeting to guage local interest and Kloud9 sent reps to outline their service

From there everything happened very quickly. Kloud9 kept in touch throughout, they worked with residents to site poles so that hard to reach houses could be included, and championed a 'can do' attitude throughout

They're a relatively small company and it's obvious they're passionate about broadband and their customers. No other company has ever shown interest in our small village, built Kloud9 used government funding to transform our lives. They've provided gigabit broadband and villagers are delighted. Installation was a breeze and the speeds exceeded the minimum they said we'd achieve. The free router they provided is a powerful Linksys branded product that provides symmetrical broadband that's as fast going out of the home as it is coming in...that's crucial for people working from home, gaming, sending large documents or holding Zoom meetings

As a gamer myself I was very concerned when my Xbox didn't like the Kloud9 network, but a phonecall resolved that issue the same day

We didn't take up the option, but Kloud9 also supply an adapter allowing customers to retain their phone and phone number and transfer their service to Kloud9 if they wish. Alternatively, they'll supply a new phone and phone number if that meets the customers needs

To say Kloud9 has been transformational for our village is an understatement. It's blindingly fast broadband provided by people who care at a price their competitors can only dream of

We'd like to pass on our sincere thanks to Julie and Fin who did all the meeting, greeting and hard work on the ground. To Tom and his team who do all the work back at base that no one sees, but makes things happen. To Brynn for his patience and pragmatism when placing poles and dealing with issues. To the pole and wiring teams who spend weeks working away from home so that others can enjoy the service they provide

You won't find a better company, internet provider or otherwise. They're not great at playing air hockey, though...but I suspect they'll be practicing back at base for the inevitable rematch...they'll always be welcome here.

No frills but get the job done

A bunch of men in unknown white vans pulling up in a rural area and hanging around is not a good look - maybe be more professional in your set up. Everyone was very friendly. The admin team do harass you when you don’t do things straight away. It has the feel of a new start up which sometimes doesn’t feel professional.

Exceptional Service

I recently had an issue with my original Kloud9 router which was proving to be unstable. Upon contacting their customer service, I was immediately impressed by their quick and efficient response. Don't experience buyer's remorse

What Kloud9 do not tell you is that when they install the cabling to your home, they own it. No other provider can offer a service on their infrastructure if you decide to look elsewhere on termination of your contract.
I specifically asked K9 to remove my contact details after they had given me the hard sell and I politely declined their offer after making my own enquires. They continued to hassle me which only demonstrates a very unprofessional attitude and a disregard for openness and accountability.
