Loan Smart: Worst customer service ever
I needed to secure a couple of international flights and looked for a 10,000 loan to purchase them ASAP. I thought contacting a broker would be faster. A lot of mucking around, even though theLoan Smart broker said it was going to be approved today. He booked a meeting last Friday, 14 June 24 and didn鈥檛 turn up. I was very worried, thinking something bad had happened to him or family. I rang the call centre and they told me he had left for the day. Sending several emails he didn鈥檛 reply. It was Wednesday the following week when he contacted me with a contract, disclosing 18.95%, unsecured, thst he earned a salary plus 4% commission on the loan. I asked what happened to him to not to turn up to the meeting, and not reply to my messages and not answer my calls. No reply. However, it was not yet approved because he expected me to pay for credit contract insurance, despite my offering of 2 different types of security, including a 12,000 car. I said I couldn鈥檛 pay for an amount I didn鈥檛 know how much, as it wasn鈥檛 specified in the contract, it looked optional. However, he said no credit contract insurance no loan, because it was too risky, even though I have a good credit score. He made some really hurtful comments, making me feel like a piece of trash. I鈥檓 taking it up with management. In the following day, I applied for a loan with another broker company and they approved a loan in less than 10 hours, it would鈥檝e been sooner, if I weren鈥檛 sleeping during the day as I work N shift. They accepted my car as security and the interest rates charged were only 15%. Then I consulted an acquaintance who works as a financial advisor and he told me those insurances are like, 1,000 per 10,000 borrowed. You get nothing back if you pay the loan earlier. According to the contract, that awful guy would receive 40% of the undisclosed insurance amount, which I now know was too high for no reason. More information about credit contract loans are widely available on the Internet. I strongly encourage people to talk to more than one broker company or lender, because the sharks are too many and they don鈥檛 mind ruining your self-esteem and stretching your finances to fulfil their greed. That鈥檚 how I felt about the service offered by Loan Smart.
