Really fabulous curated selection

Really fabulous curated selection of those otherwise annoying to find kitchen items- black garlic purée for example or artichoke hearts. But also fine small batch and or responsibly sourced chilled items like cheeses and cured meats that really amp up your fridge for little treats. Friendly personalised service with smiles and if you’re lucky some tasters by the till, highly recommend.

A complete and total delight

A complete and total delight! Great selection of ingredients — a combo of essentials as well as little discoveries you wouldn’t normally find elsewhere. Their wine selection is all great quality and very well priced, a lot of gems under £20. Highly recommend signing up for their newsletter as well because it is full of community goings-on useful for people who live and work in the area. Everyone who works there is friendly in a kind and genuine way.

Highly recommend!!

Where to start... This shop is an absolute gem for Highbury. Offers a wide selection of artisanal and organic products, and the empanadas are to die for! Makes me feel like I'm back in Buenos Aires!! The staff are very friendly and welcoming and happy to help with any issues. Highly recommend this store - the other two locations are worth a visit if you're in the area too!

Great staff, amazing products, wonderful initiative

This place is amazing! It's a wonderful initiative that gives local producers a chance to shine. The products are top-notch, excellent quality, great taste, and not the kind you can find everywhere (which makes them more unique). The staff are very kind and helpful. I recommend visiting the shop to browse for interesting, local, quality products, and to encourage the business so they can keep supporting and highlighting local farmers and producers. They also take initiatives to reduce food waste like offering discounts for products near their expiry date. Special shoutout to Sam at the shop in N5, who's always keen to help (and always with a smile).

A very well-sorted beautiful friendly shopping experience

The Nourrished Communities shop gives you a great feeling of being welcome. This beautiful atmosphere also extends to the products they sell. The groceries, alcohol and snacks that they sell all seem to have been carefully selected. If you are looking for high-quality empanadas, beautiful mushrooms or great chocolates, and everything in between, this super friendly shop is your place. When you go there regularly, it becomes a beautiful exchange between them and you, and they really are interested in your feedback, and they will also be happy to recommend you stuff. The quality is always great and you can also find something new to try.
It is overall a shop like in old times when you had a corner shop that actually knew their customers.

This is a great shop and I recommend…

This is a great shop and I recommend highly: it is not cheap, because it has top quality delicious deli type food and the selection is excellent - and they do have deals.
They also have v comprehensive refill service for cleaning products and non dairy milk.
They are always very friendly, and provide excellent service for ordering/getting things.
Bread, crumpets and empanadas and fresh veg/fruit really delicious.

Very nourishing

Great tasty fruit and veg from local farmers delivered to your door or drop off point - doesn't get better than that! Except it does, with lots of other delicious goodies available. Missing Islington Farmers Market in these strange times, but this makes up for it :-)

A nice choice of distinctive products…

A nice choice of distinctive products for which I'm happy to pay a bit more knowing that it's supporting small producers. Not such a wide range as a longer established (and very efficient) outfit like Farm Drop, but hasn't been going so long and I'm sure that the range will grow as people support. Amazing how something as simple as a potato can be so much more obviously tasty than usual, and other veg were also much nicer than we've come to expect from supermarkets.

A small muddle over the wine I ordered not being available - but Rollo responded very promptly, explained what had happened, and kindly offered me a voucher on my next order.

We are shielding due to my partner…

We are shielding due to my partner being on 24/7 oxygen. We miss our own home grown allotment produce, but we have to stay safe. At first we had a lot of difficulties getting food delivery companies. We tried two other veg box schemes before Nourished Communities. The others were a bit more expensive and a lot less generous in terms of quantities, and not so fresh. We also really like that it all comes from Kent and delivers locally by lovely young people. There’s also great bread, butter and apple juice. We really look forward to the boxes and all the lovely produce

just love what these guys are doing

just love what these guys are doing. Veg boxes have been a highlight and it's great to try things which wouldn't necessarily have jumped into my supermarket basket. The fact that it's all (fairly) local is a big benefit - saves carbon and protects the planet. And thank you for helping me tie on my shopping to my bike !

Your items may not be in stock despite you paying for them

Order placed and date for delivery chosen. Sadly the day before delivery I was advised that the order was cancelled as items not in stock. I checked the Web site and it showed the items being in stock. I did query this but sadly no reply. This was my first and last order. If you don't have the items update the Web page to let potential customers know.

Hi Annette, Thanks for taking the time to write. I do apologies that the product was in stock on our website. When we tried to procure it we were informed it was discontinued by the supplier as communicated in our email.

We did contact you on the 12th of August as we managed to order in some of this product just for you. However, didn't hear back. Please don't hesitate to let us know if you are still interested in this product and have a wonderful week. Rollo X

This new community service by Nourished…

This new community service by Nourished Communities has been a life line to people in my area who have been socially isolating. The produce is always fresh and at reasonable cost especially as its being delivered to your front door. They have provided a brilliant community service which enabled many of us who were shielding for the last 8 weeks to get access to fresh veg. They are a great local community resource.
