Poor Service and Lack of Accountability

I am extremely disappointed with my experience at NZ Mint. Having been a loyal customer, purchasing gold from them in the past, I was shocked by their lack of professionalism when I attempted to sell some of my holdings. They outright refused to buy back my items and carelessly damaged the perspex surround of one of my silver bars in the process—without so much as an apology.

It's important to note that NZ Mint is not an exchange that buys gold and silver unless you exclusively purchased from them, which was not made clear to me earlier. Based on my experience, I would strongly recommend buying from more reputable and customer-focused sellers. NZ Mint’s customer service and practices leave much to be desired.

NZMINT.COM great products, poor shopping experience

NZ Mint produces great products, but runs a buggy online store with no clear limit policy control (software backend). Plus rude and not very professional sales and marketing team adds to a not very pleasant shopping experience. Fix the site and the team to match the product quality

Great service, great product

Website could be easier to navigate but doesn’t take away from the products and speed of service. My order arrived super fast considering the trip from New Zealand to the UK. Packaged really well but could be more sustainable and have plastic free alternatives used. Highly recommended will order again.

Don't buy any items from these scammers…

Don't buy any items from these scammers if you live outside New Zealand!
They collect GST on your payment and you will have to pay GST again on the arrival of the item in your country!
Worst customer service ever!
Delay Delivery!
Over charging GST and Custom Entry Fee!

Fastest shipping from a coin retailer

Bought a 100 Years Anniversary Disney silver coin and I was surprised how fast it was shipped and I received it 4 days after ordering. I got the coin faster than all other coin companies I buy from
in the U.S.. I would buy more from the New Zealand Mint, but they seem to specialize in fictional character coins and Disney. I'm not into that, but just liked this particular coin. Still a great company to do business with. I may purchase from again in the future if they have something else I see and want. The New Zealand Mint is great for collectors looking for these specialized coins.

Poor quality at top price

After ordering NZ Mints own silver fern medalions, and waiting 6 weeks to receive them they are stamped off center and one even has a lip on the edge.
After asking them about this they told me it is normal and that they will not do anything.
Given the price differance between a coin and medalion is only $1, I find this to be a rip off. I would not recomend them or trust them.

Poor customer service...

Poor customer service and failure to deliver products as specified...

This is a "private" company and looks like they outsource their customer service responses to a third world country..

Trying to get a refund or resolution for a delivery failure is like getting blood from a stone... They have no idea of laws and legal repercussions of consumer obligations...

Customer service is great

Customer service was great and my order arrived super fast. Took about 4 days and considering the trip from New Zealand all the way to Houston, TX, it was awesome to get my order promptly and super well packaged so nit a single dent during the transit time. Highly recommended and not sure why I hadn't ordered from them before!!

Poor customer service

NZM use FedEx for their international deliveries. FedEx have invoiced me for duties and taxes which I have subsequently challenged and been refunded. They have again invoiced me for goods they state came from NZM, and may well have as I have purchased many many items from them, running into ‘000’s. However, FedEx have provided copies of invoices from companies in the US and Hong Kong. Due to previous errors I have requested the proper invoices to tie them up and satisfy myself I am paying the correct charges. FedEx have ignored my repeated requests and just sent me a 7ish demand or debt collectors. I felt I had no option but to pay and continue to request the correct data. FedEx will not engage and NZM cannot help (albeit they tried), stating FedEx are a third party. In my opinion FedEx are operating on behalf of NZM and they should not so easily disassociate themselves.

I would not trust this company

I would not trust this company. They will cancel your paid order hours after confirmation. They will tell you a coin is sold out only for it to reappear on their site for sale days later. They will go back on deals made and not have a care in the world. Its a greedy company with vindictive incompetent leadership.
