I contacted Powell Design & Construction Ltd for a project at my home as despite them not being local I had heard of them through other means.
They were excellent in listening to what I was looking to achieve, their communication was perfect and helpful and they provided various options for me to consider and worked with me to get the result that would best work for me.
The advice was excellent, considered and once the design was agreed they provided me with a video walk through and 3d images of what the end result would be, which is priceless.
Highly recommend this company for any/all of your building design and construction needs.

From design to completion Alexandra and Richard remained professional yet friendly and very accommodating.
Alexandra was knowledgable in her field and guided us through her recommendations. No “tweak” was ever too much trouble .
Richard led his team well always being polite and respectful to our family. Emails and texts were answered and addressed super quickly again with politeness and professionalism.
The end result had a real “wow factor” admired by many. Even the after care has been faultless with snagging being quickly sorted followed by a professional cleaning company to make the whole place sparkle!
My only ever-so-slight criticism would be the lack of initial explanation as to which tradesman worked for which company as Richard sub contracts. It led to a little confusion in the communication at the start. However once it was explained to us then this issue was quickly ironed out.

Our Bungalow has truly been transformed into a luxury modern home. Powel Construction has done such a wonderful job and the work has been to a high standard. A couple of minor snags were sorted out within 2 days of us moving in. Everyone who has since visited as remarked "wow" on entering our new home.

Richard looks after each job as if it was his own home. He is hardworking and very creative in finding solutions to problems that I was struggling with.

I currently rent a property owned and renovated by Alexandra, Richard and Team. From a renovation point of view I can't highlight how brilliantly they've transformed an old terraced property into a modern, well designed and wonderful place to live.

From a tenant's point of view they are easily the best the landlords I've had. They're extremely responsive and have resolved any query I've had as well as making time to handle any of the requests I've had. It's a privilege to be renting such a sought after property with excellent landlords, that allow you to feel at home!

Recommend to anyone looking for either a property to rent, or renovate.

Almost 12 months ago Richard came over to do a boiler service & Nest thermostat installation for me. Arrived on time and got the job done much faster than I expected. All relevant paperwork completed swiftly and all has worked perfectly since. He was very patient explaining how to use the Nest thermostat. Excellent service and I will soon be getting in touch for this year's boiler service too.
I have known Richard a long time and he has always been professional and fastidious with his work (very much the perfectionist). He saved me from freezing one winter by coming out at very short notice to replace my boiler. Always happy to give advice in easy to understand language.

It was late at night and We didn't have any hot water while my flatmate was showering. I called Richard from Powell Design & Construction and he immediately sorted it for me and we then had hot water again!

Richard did a service on my solar panels and fixed a faulty regulator, he also replaced my heating thermostats last year, his workmanship & attention to detail are second to none. Moving to a new country was not easy, but the Powell Design & Construction Ltd. helped us to settle down in a comfortable way. During the designing stage, instead of just following the customer’s instruction, Powell had a dedicated team that would go the extra mile by providing professional advises to meet my family’s needs, and we eventually found thankful by taking these advises.
We also appreciated that they maintained a constant and regular communication with us, by providing adequate, detailed pictures and videos to report the working process, which was very essential to us, as we were unable to visit the site in person.
As a whole, we were satisfied with the final delivery of the whole project. We found that the design, the material used and the customer services were very good. A perfect appraisal would be graded if the intended completion date could be met as scheduled.
