Overcharged multiple times.

Rebel Energy overcharged me multiple times. I have had to call customer service 3 times to get this rectified, even providing multiple sets of meter readings. Each time I was assured this was sorted out, and I had to call back and fight for them to charge me the correct amount. When I finally left to go to a different provider, they overcharged me by over 100 pounds.

I keep getting cold called from foreign…

I keep getting cold called from foreign call centres on behalf of rebel energy - I get 4 calls per day from withheld numbers -which is highly illegal and will be reported to the ICO to investigate - they clearly employ 3rd party call centres to cold call people with directly or through 3rd party brokers.

Update!!! Your reply is not true because I went through the call and they transferred me through to you to switch my energy !!! Lies lies lies

Awful customer service

Awful customer service. Nawaal does not answer emails and customer services does not do what they say they will. Better use a different provider

Good customer service experience with Queen

I contacted rebel energy concerning my apartment heating system.Queen was very empathetic and helpful. And I was told an engineer will come and fixed it for me day.

Poor Service all round

I have received an letter today (09/12/2024) from you, summarizing that you are supplying my energy. In April this year I changed over to a new supplied. I called today to say that I don't want any more further contact as you weren't supplying me with energy. When I have called today, you have informed me that I owe money, but haven't sent me an invoice for the last 8 months. You were also unable to tell me how much money that I owed. When asking for a Manager, you said that there wasn't a single manager on shift, when asking to speak to someone else, the phone was left on until you manually disconnected me at 19:00 as your offices had closed. You have also provided conformation that I have moved over to Octopus on the 23rd April and that my account had been closed. From start to finish I have had numerous problems with your company, it seems that senior staff are not contactable, as well as your complaints department being unable to rectify any problems. I have sent another email this evening through a chain that already had several complaints regarding your company and the problems that I have encountered.

Excellent.

Excellent!! Call was answered by a person in 3 rings.No press 1 for this 2 for that. It was a pleasure to speak to someone. Celeste was amazing and solved the problem very efficiently. The entire call lasted about 5 minutes and the issue was completely resolved. Would recommend Rebel Energy to anyone who need a quick efficient service. 10/10

Great support

Called In because I couldn't login to the web portal. Was given information to why and I am happy with the explanation. De-Juan also kindly verified everything was fine with my account and raised the appropriate actions needed going forward.

New smart meters display does not work

We had a 2nd generation smart meter installed to replace our old British Gas one which was previously working well. The new meter display just has a message saying failure to connect - the engineer who installed it said it will update soon however it still has not updated.

I contacted their helpdesk a week later and now almost 2 months later it is still not working, and I have had numerous emails communications which keep saying they are looking into it.

I am now told my signal is too weak and have asked for an official complaint be logged. This however does not help me know what my bills are and how much gas and electric we are using.

I have been happy with the service for the past couple of years, but this is not good enough and I will be looking into moving providers ASAP.

Horrible experience

I joined rebel energy since June and it took 4 months for them to prepare and send me my bill despite the fact that I keep calling every week.
The customer service is rubbish as the don’t ever resolve any issuer.
After sending an engineer to install a smart meter in my property? The began sending me outrageous bills and refuse to display my usage on the smart meter so I can monitor.

Now I’m looking to switch and they wouldn’t update my details on the national dater base so no energy supplier can take me on.

This is a very frustrating experience with them and I strongly discourage anyone from using them as the only care about money and not the customer.

Good Customer Experience from Neal

Phoned today to check about payments and tariffs and if it would be better to change to a different one. I spoke to Neal S about this and he was lovely. He explained everything clearly and was really helpful. He made everything easy to understand and lovely to speak to.
