This is the first time in a long time we went to Swiss Chalet, Krysta’s service with humour and efficiency were great. The food was also good. Made for a great experience.

Disgusting food…

Starchy gooey kids noodles with hard chunks. Sick for 2 days after eating there. Never again. The Highland Rd Kitchener location used to be the best one but now it’s just pure gross.

The cost of Delivery items cost more…

The cost of Delivery items cost more for that same item had it been a pickup or dine-in order. A Good example is their current promotion for a 2 person meal. Two quarter chicken dinners with one side each plus drink for only $27.99. But if we order it as a delivery order, those two same dish deal is now $42.97. So at the checkout they not only charge us a new HIGHER than normal price, they have the gall to charge an extra processing fee. The higher cost of the same dine-in dish is suppose to be the extra cost from fees and takeout processing. But they thought they could scam people further by claiming a BOGUS fee which we already paid for by paying the HIGHER cost.

That is like Rogers Cable... We pay a monthly fee/subscription to get access to their services which is suppose to be the cost of everything we paid for. But in our bill they tack on a system access fee. Thus charging us for something we already paid for and to make matters worse, they tax us again. B.S!!!

NDP was supposed to go after crooks like this but the new generation of NDP are clueless and spineless. PC thinks only of themselves and Libstards think only the middle class matter. Don't even get me started on the Green party who only think of Green ($$$) and what is good for the planet while screwing everyone and everything else.

My wife and I went to the swiss chalet…

My wife and I went to the swiss chalet in sydney ns I had the chicken perm with pasta it was the worst I have had no taste at all I should of stayed home and eaten paper,the chicken parm tasted like it just came out of paper mill the pasta was the same nothing had any flavor at all

Swiss Chalet is cooking’!

Rita has overhauled this restaurant and it is so much better!
There is a sense of family here. Orders are always hot, plentiful and accurate.
They used to be cheap and only give one plumb sauce for the spring rolls. Now, they give two!!

Not a good experience.

Had to order a large order ($78.28) specifically for leftovers. I suffered a fall and couldn’t get out to shop for food. I received my order but it was all screwed up. At first the cranberry sauce was replaced by coleslaw. It was pretty so I decided to call them the next day. I called 16 times that day and got no answer. So I finally called the HQ in Ottawa to put a complaint. They were finally able to contact the SW location I was dealing with and the manager at that location called me. After all the frustration I dealt with for a week, I was as offered a credit or a complete refund. I chose the refund and was told a refund would be issued. That was the week between Xmas and New Year’s Eve. No refund as of January 11, 2025. This SW location is on Ogilvie road in Ottawa. I did inform them that I would write about my experience on social media and unlike them I keep my word. I won’t be ordering from them anymore. I suggest you do the same.

What the heck is going on with Swiss Chalet customer service
They are so drinking rude
Remember that it’s way to expensive but when I don’t want to cook n want a healthier alternative I order from Mississauga location
They are always so rude. Comon man be nice for heavens sake

Terrible meal on New Years Day 2025

On Jan 1st 2025 Ordered family meal from Swiss Chalet in Orangeville, Ontario to celebrate brand new year. it was the most disappointing meal I have ever purchased. the chicken couldn't be any smaller and the french fries were horrible. Even the kids refused to eat them therefore all 3 containers of french fries has gone to the trash and I had to scramble to make a substitute for them. The french fries were all burned and dried up and looked as if they were left over scraps. Nothing like they should have been or are shown on pictures (terrible waste of my money). Tasted horrible. After this experience I don't think I will ever be buying any meals from Swiss Chalet again.

Foreign object found in food

While eating our dinner, I could feel something sharp in my mouth with my tongue. After removing it, I thought I broke my tooth but after looking it over carefully, I believe it was someone's broken fingernail. My b/f and I threw out the leftovers.
I have taken several pics but no where to post them in here.

Horrible service

I don't know if it was because I was alone that I was so ignored after my dinner was served but I felt totally ignored. I wanted to ask for a roll that I could actually bite into without breaking a tooth or even maybe substitute for coleslaw but could not catch his attention. Never once did he approach my table or even look my way so I could have the problem rectified. He was giving all the other patrons his full attention but not once did he even acknowledge I was even there. Chicken was good, fries so-so, 1 little tsp. of cranberry sauce on a piece of wilted lettuce and dressing was a glob of unidentifiable origin. I will never order the festive meal ever again

Paris, Ontario filthy hole

Paris, Ontario location. Manager woman dropped chicken on the floor, out of sight except mine. She picked it up and put it in a diners plate, and served it.
I will NEVER return. What a scag!

Disappointed and disgraced

Ordered two meals and recd my package just now. Was amazed at the size of leg and thigh and breast. In these meals. The size of leg and thigh was about 3 in and the beast was about 4 in. Were these chicken parts or poussin parts?? So very disappointed!!!!
