Unreliable and poor customer service

The product is really good,the milk tastes fresh and light.
However every week there would be a missed delivery, I only received deliveries on a Friday, Monday and Wednesday were missed.
After raising this with customer services, I just got an apology but no solution. Ideally a company should send their delivery driver back to correct the mistake.this never happened.
For 4 weeks I only got milk on Friday's.
There was no display of ownership, no rectification and no compensation for the inconvenience caused.
Again, great product but sadly I would not recommend this company until they sort out their logistical and customer service issues.

Amazing service

Amazing service. I’ve had doorstep deliveries for around four years, now- and it’s always a joy to wake up to fresh milk, juice, eggs and the odd brownie (as a weekend treat!) left outside my door… come rain, snow or clement weather! Always appreciated!

Good quality product.

Waking up in the morning and seeing my milk at my door always put a smile on my face because I have it delivered on a Saturday morning, it makes me look forwards to the weekend. I have seen the milkman several times he has been helpful and polite. I like the quality of the milk and it's convenient for me if I don't feel up to going to the shops. I am also happy with the price I like to support small and local business.

Simply the best !

Been with this company for a long time and they have never failed me as a customer. On the rare occasion I’ve raised an issue, their customer service has been outstanding! Never met our milky over the years but he/she always delivers with care and attention. The app is very easy to use and you can make changes before a certain time for the day after delivery if you need too. Products are very very fresh, sustainable and locally sourced. Also Bovaer free.

Don't always follow requests

The milkman often ignores delivery requests to put ALL my order in the bag provided. I don't have the best mobility so having to mess about getting everything together, when he could put it all together in the bag and I could lift it all out at once, makes life difficult.

Great service

Modern Milkman are responsive, their products taste fabulous and our milkman is reliable. What more is needed?

I've been using them for approx 4 years now and wouldn't change. Milk just tastes better from a bottle and their prices are good.

Great to be using a local milkman

Great to be using a local milkman and service. We've found that by using a milkman, we are visiting "express" supermarkets less frequently and saving money as a result. TMM offers a great range of products. Reliable service. I have had issues with the app, but recently this all seems resolved.

I ordered sour dough bread and eggs

I ordered sour dough bread and eggs. This cost just over £9! They deliver between 10pm and 1am. So the bread was left in my garden and was attacked by snails or slugs. The use by day was the date it was delivered. There is no customer support (minimal anyway) you can not cancel your subscription on the app and there is no way of actually speaking to anybody. Go to your bank app and try to cancel the standing order and it won't let you. Do not sign up to this.

Inconsiderate and dangerous delivery…

Inconsiderate and dangerous delivery drivers.

Why do they think it is acceptable to speed down residential roads revving their engines at 2.15am to deliver to my neighbour?

It is unacceptable.

Why aren't electric vehicles being used to omit the noise?

Being woken up in the middle of the night is disrespectful and has an impact on people's health.

They maintain it is for a fresh delivery. However, they've previously delivered to neighbours at the height of summer and by 6.30 / 7am the delivery is spoilt by the heat.

Lovely tasty products at a decent…

Lovely tasty products at a decent value. Alot of items cheaper than supermarket with free delivery. The freshly squeezed orange juice and milkshakes particular favourites. Jacksons bread is very good too. Highly recommended.

Tech investment required

The delivery and quality is really good. We have milk, eggs and OJ delivered each week and all are great.

But... the app never remembers you and the online web version frequently glitches and it will not let you edit orders. Needs a tech investment to fix all the bugs.

Helping to reuse / recycle

It's great to know that we are helping to recycle/ reuse by buying our milk from the modern milkman. We mainly have milk, but occasionally like a treat, such as their croissants or bread

Brilliant

They never miss a delivery, even in bad weather. The milk is fresh but I would advise to think about the amount of milk you will actually use, it took me a little bit to get my deliveries just right. I don't buy milk from supermarkets anymore, making it easier with less weight. I get three pints a week and it costs me around £5.00 which seems expensive but I no long have to lug heavy milk back from the supermarket and it is green because the bottles are taken back, rewashed and reused. It also reminds me of my childhood when everyone had a milkman.

Good Quality and good for the environment

The oat milk and eggs are of a good quality, and although we don't often buy other produce from Modern Milkman, we have always enjoyed the occasional other purchases (bread, milkshakes, juices). We now have only very occasional issues with the delivery going to neighbours by accident, and have usually managed to find and use our misplaced items. We are pleased to know that our packaging is recycled. Also thank you for keeping us informed if deliveries are disrupted, for example by bad weather.

Pushy salesman

My partner had a knock on the door yesterday and this salesman wouldn’t take no for an answer. My partner told him several times he wasn’t interested and he needed to leave to go somewhere but this man would not go away. 20 minutes later after being forced to sign up the man left. My partner then requested a refund which he got, but these pushy salesmen who literally wouldn’t leave him alone is ridiculous. It send completely the wrong message for the company and we will 100% not be recommending this company to anyone. Sort out your salesmen!!

Brilliant

We have been using the modern milkman for a few weeks now and i am so glad we made the change from supermarket milk. It tastes better and it's fresher too. Ours comes on time every time as well. There are loads of us on my street who use them and we can't recommend them highly enough

Tastier and creamier than supermarket…

Tastier and creamier than supermarket milk. Glass bottles doesn't affect its flavour. It's like what milk used to be like. Delivery is silent and reliable. Wonderful product Bovear free. Well done.

Pushy Salesman

I normally don't like to write anything negative about a product but when you are forced to sign up by a salesman like that then this is bad. Basically he signed up for me rather than myself. Don't send door to door pushy Salesman around if you want promote your product this has a very negative impact on the product and company. I tried to cancel my order but unable to do so yet. I want to cancel my membership. Stop harassing people, if you want new members, this is not the way, have leaflets but don't force people to sign up like that

Easy way to reduce plastic waste

Having our milk delivered, (as well as eggs, croissants and all manner of other products), is a great way to reduce our plastic waste as a family, (and the croissants are really good!).

The fresh produce is great

The fresh produce is great and the variety available is also good. The surprise option for milkshakes and fruit juices make its exciting for the children each week too
