Purchased a van insusurance policy 48 hours ago, received a telephone call from one of their 'advisors' informing me that she just needed to go over my details to ensure everything was ok. I confirmed that I had been involved in an accident where someone else had hit me, she stated this had not been disclosed, I tried to state that I had disclosed this but she said not to worry she would just add it on,,,, suddenly the price of the policy I thought I had purchased 48 hours before had suddenly gone up nearly double the price!!!!!!!

I told her that I would not be accepting that offer and to cancel it , she then informed me there would be charges for cancelling!!!!!

Disgusting ploy to con people out of their money

Can't we have a minus 5 stars !!! A very good friend purchased my vehicle 2 years ago for me and I'm paying him monthly for it. He had to insure it because he was the registered keeper. He handed the vehicle to me. Sent log book to DVLA. Got a quote off VanLine Direct online £401.00 and they asked for purchase date (2 yrs ago) They phoned me back after paying my £89 deposit. I had to go through it all again on the phone. I explained that it was my van but my name wasn't on the log book. The price went from £401.00 to £692.00. Then when I asked for my £89 back the person said it would be less £25.00. Unfortunately I lost it with the person. That was unforgivable as it wasn't their personal fault. I did apologize profusely. Had a text from VanCompare 5 hours later. Same company. 5*****Tossers!

Absolutely disgusting stay away you get a quote on line and click to pay and it wont let you gives you a reference number and says call a number when you csll they have no log of the refrence number and the quote doubles in price. The staff are rude and put the phone down on you its obviously s total SCAM how these companies operate is beyond me false advertising 😡😡😡

I was charged £90 to cancel my insurance I think this is completely over the top as most companies charge around £30 a cancellation they are milking it be warned people very unhappy

Completely and utterly disgusting!!! Complete rip-off called me back after paying a deposit to run through all details again then added an extra £800 on to the insurance. I asked to cancel the policy and was informed that would incur a £25 fee. The guy was extremely rude and unhelpful. None of the documents that have been sent open and are password protected. Emailed to say the refund had taken place but not received my end. They also informed me on a later call that this would go down as refused insurance even though I was the one to ask for the cancellation which would affect future insurers. DO NOT USE!

Get quote by GoCompare to insure my Van by Van Line Direct. Then they call me and quote go up by 50%. Same day I asked to cancel but they said charge £25. It is totally rip off.

RIp off company do not respond to verbal requests for insurance certificate and failure to advice of renewal prices. Two year on the trot they have taken payment from my account I have had to request my insurance certificate and associated documentation they do not send, they say they have been sent I have never received them. 6 weeks after my insurance renewal I scrapped by van they refuse to refund my insurance premium and are saying I have to £90 cancellation plus a further £16 for what????

All they want to do is rip you off,you get your online quote,they then ring you....then your quote goes up...
Then you need to pay to cancel!!!!

This company is shockingly bad, like many before this review i would warn against anyone using this company. They are out to screw you at all costs. They dont wish to follow FCA conduct rules and appear cheap until they take 3 times the amount of money that was agreed. This has really upset us as a family with us not knowing if even more will be taken out over time.Terrible company

They are based in uk as they all sound South African and very sarcastic, I can hear them giggling and laughing when I have to
Scream 10 times about something that’s been dealt with before! Seems like no notes are left after your phone call and you have to tell the next person same thing over and over again! Premium starts at fairly low rate then once they take your money ask questions after and the premium goes through the roof l! Also i almost forgot that somehow they have filtered with my excess and then phoned me to tell me they will take it off but I’ll have to pay extra a month! COMPANY IS A JOKE, AVOID AT ALL COST

Worst insurance company ever! Avoid them! They are asking for proof of no claims discount constantly even after sending it to them 3 times! After they were constantly calling me for a week I have asked them to cancel my policy within the 14 days then they’ve sent me the cancellation documents stating they’re cancelling my policy because they couldn’t validate my proof of no claims. Absolutely shocking complete incompetence and fraudulent! AVOID!!!

We had to cancel the insurance after about 3 months only and were levied with a years full charges for terminating early. AVOID THESE SCAMMERS. Pay just a little bit more and go with a reputable company. Their staff are cynical and rude

They insured my van which one is off the road, with no mot, without my permission. Without sending any letters, any documents. Only thing they did was sending me email with insurance proposal. After canceling insurance they charge me 150£ from my account, without my permission, with canceled direct debit. Been told everything is is legal. Same time lost my job. My family will be be starving. I have no money for lawyers. Fantastic service, I hope you will burn in hell.

I will NEVER go here again! They automatically renew policy even when you specifically state you don't want them to do so. You are unable to access documents online as system never recognises log in details. read other reviews... something has to be done about this company . I would rather pay a bit more and go with a proper company!!!
