Poor Product and Poor Customer Service!

Purchased a cell phone booster....Did NOT work. Wilson Amplifiers refused to refund.....they gave us the runaround and told us we needed to contact the maker....the maker told us we needed to contact Wilson Amplifiers. I went back and fourth several times between the two and then I was told after a couple weeks of trying to get it resolved that I was past the deadline. Really??? Seriously?? I was not past the deadline when I started! What a joke! We will never purchase from them again nor will we ever recommend them to anyone! Companies should be careful who they try to cheat....they don't know who might have a big social media presence and who might be able to recommend or to NOT recommend a certain product or company to their followers, people who visit their website, etc..

Not a good experience

Ended up ordering the replacement antenna online by myself because it was after hours when the guy finally called me back. Once I attached new antenna, it ended up being defective as I later came to find out the solder had cracked where the antenna is attached to the cable & no one will help me replace it.

Very bad experience with both order…

Very bad experience with both order processing as well as the problem resolution.
We ordered a Wilson Pro 70 Plus (50 ohm) with Omni/Dome Antenna (over $1,000, total).
When we received the shipment the package only contained wiring, no amplifier. I placed 3 phone calls in to the number listed on Wilson Amplifiers's home page over the course of several days. Beyond the representatives on the phone taking my name and phone number the issue was never addressed.

Deceptive website on returns

States on website 30 day guarantee, and 7-10 on return of funds once they get item, Our item, Antenna, was no better then what came with system thus the request of refund. Buyer pays for return shipping.

The day we received it we requested to return it, it took them about 3 days to get RMA and an email that states you have 14 days to return (not the 30 as stated on website), 15 days after they received item, still no refund, now they said due to July 4th holiday it can take up to 30 for refund (not the 7-10 days stated on their website).

Dont waste your money!

Do not buy any of the booster products. The warranty isn't worth the paper its printed on. Wilson wont refund for the product that I've had for months and used it for about 3 weeks. I wouldn't recommend purchasing one of these products to anyone.

Purchased a reconditioned cell amp

Output of amp is not what was expected. The amp was suppose to cover 2500 sq ft, when I installed it, you had to be within 6 feet to have any improvement in cell service. Found out from wilson tech support that the reconditioned unit I purchased with a one year warranty has a high failure rate within one to two months. Very disappointed that the reconditioned unit is not reliable!!

Worst Company Ever!

I am a totally disabled veteran and my wife a lung cancer patient. This company turned their backs on us even after buying three of their boosters. They are not BBB accredited and do not stand behind their products.

UPS delivered to old address!!!

Order #185503 Gift for my friend Brad. He just moved. UPS delivered to his old address, no signature, UPS says they are all done, it has been delivered. My friend did not get the cell phone booster; instead the new occupant of his former rental home has it and is not giving it up. I'm out the entire $549 I spent on the gift. PayPal says that Wilson should file a claim against UPS and refund my money or re-send to Brad's new address. Wilson (also dba Silk Worldwide) has many phone numbers, all of which go to an off site call center, not Wilson office in Stafford, Texas. The operators say Wilson will call me back, but they don't. One call center operator confided that they don't resolve problems, they simply provide a live operator to answer the calls and essentially do nothing. I'm out $549, and It seems like that's the end of the story.

Hi Mr. Marx,

My apologies for the difficulty. We answer calls at our Stafford address, however, if all of our representatives are busy, or it is after hours, we do have our calls to go an answering service.
I show that the kit was delivered to the address provided on the order that you placed online. However, we are working with UPS to see if there is anything that can be done.

The unit I purchased just does not perform as expected

The unit I purchased just does not boost the cell phone signal unless you have a pretty good signal already. If you have a couple of bars, it may give you an additional bar, but it must also be very, very close to the interior antennae. 3' is way to far away. I have the Drive 4 G-M, but will move to the 4 G-X and hope for better results. The original Wilson dual band boosters were better in my opinion.

So the sales side is very responsive…

So the sales side is very responsive and helpful, they assisted me with what I needed and options available. Then I placed an order with them on a Friday night and the next Thursday it still was not even shipped out yet, I had placed phone calls and support emails and finally, I received an email 5 days later giving me a tracking number that is not to be used for 72 hours so this means it takes this company almost 2 weeks to ship orders out. I sent an email to cancel but as of this email no response as I have found their items Amazon Canada and they don't charge shipping and I was charged $50.00 and I can have the items in 2 days from date of order. Don't expect service after they receive your payment in my limited experience with this company, it takes nothing to be prompt in returning requests and should advise if delivery would be delayed, I hope the product is a quality product.

The performance on a fringe location is …

The performance on a fringe location is barely acceptable. The amplified signal within the building has a very short range from the indoor antenna; on the order of feet. A better antenna on the front end may be needed.

Not Much Improvement

I was hopeful that the technology had improved from the past cell phone boosters. But to my surprise it hasn't. By the time I was able to test out the strength of the WeBoost I was disappointed. Also out of the return date. It may work better for some but not in my case, sorry to say.

Causes overheating in Verizon Mifi Jetpack

After talking to customer rep, I apparently ordered wrong power supply. Would have appreciated a notification that power supply I ordered was not compatible with amplifier I ordered. Specifically talked to rep re my use with Verizon Wifi Jetpack. Was transferring large files between two computers on my homegroup. Took several hours, but Jetpack failed due to overheating by amplifier.

The Emperor's New Clothes

Honestly I have not seen any difference in my cell phone reception with the WeBoost slim. I even added the taller antenna, because others said it made a difference for them. Whether my phone is in the cradle or not, with the small antenna or the taller one, the reception is the same. Hopefully there will be areas in my travels where it makes a difference. Otherwise I have wasted a bunch of money.
I was pleased with the speed in which I received the WeBoost and then the taller antenna. They also responded quickly to my initial inquiry about their products. So from a customer service perspective I have no complaints. Too bad the product does not work as advertised.

DO NOT order- if you need to return it, you will struggle to get a refund!!

I purchased a Wilson Amplifier with installation on 11/09/23. It arrived in a timely manner and I scheduled installation through the information they provided. When the technician arrived to install the amplifier, he was not able to find any location (and he tried several places on the roof) that increased my cell signal reception beyond what is was without the amplifier. That was unfortunate as I had hoped for a better signal, but perhaps not the fault of the amplifier.
However, the biggest reason for my 1 star rating (and I would give zero stars if possible) is the problems I have faced trying to get my refund since then.
I contacted customer service 11/16/23 to arrange a return. The email with directions stated it would take 7-10 business days after they received the amplifier back for the refund to process. I was also told when on the phone with customer service that I would be refunded for the cost of return shipping. It cost me $151.36 to ship it back via UPS.
They received the amplifier back on 11/30/23 per the tracking from UPS.
It is now 1/2/24 and I have not received a refund for the amplifier ($1390.99) or the return shipping costs ($151.36). Even considering the holidays, it is far past the 7-10 business days they stated, and I am still owed $1,542.35.
My recommendation: Do NOT order from this company! If the device does not work for you, getting your money refunded will be a struggle.

Delayed Shipping and Poor Customer Service

Ordered on 4/5 (Sunday). Received call from sales on 4/6 which I missed asking for an updated physical address. Provided this on 4/7 in response to an email and received confirmation on 4/8 that they could ship via UPS as requested. Emailed rep back on 4/13 for updated tracking number with no response. Called on 4/14 and was forwarded to answering service who left message for rep to email back with tracking number which I did not receive. Called on 4/15 for updated ETA on estimated fulfillment, was told by rep she was waiting to hear back from warehouse and promised to call me back within the hour. Called back 1.5 hours later and again was forwarded to the answering service. Looked at my email and realized that they had emailed earlier in the day stating my order was awaiting shipment but no estimated ETA. Website states expect delivery within 7-10 days however it has been 7 days since I updated my physical address and they still can't give me an ETA on fulfillment. I have requested a cancellation as my card was charged on 4/6 and if this is the type of customer service I get with ordering and fulfillment, I hate to see what it will be like if I have a technical issue. I noticed the only other review this year was within the past 2 weeks with identical delayed shipping. I called weboost.com directly and was told the unit I ordered is on backorder. I'm sure this is the reason for non-fulfillment but I am still disappointed that I have not been given any explanation for delayed shipping by Wilson Amplifiers.

Edit to add: I was contacted in Nov 2023 (yes 3 years later) to further clarify my review or it would be taken down. I’m not sure how much more clarification is needed. Pretty sure I outlined everything clearly and taking 3 years to respond is another attestation to the poor customer service issues:/

Horrible customer service / great products

Their 4g ag pro 4 band cell repeter worked great for 2 years then the amp died 2 months past warranty cut off, just one component of a 3 peice system. If It was under warranty still they would send that single part to me for free, but because the warranty had just expired they claimed I would have to buy a whole new system for $ 950 !!! When I explained they were going to send just the one part from the warranty department and that was the only part I needed they didn't care, they claimed the fcc would not allow them to sell individual components! How can one department be able to send out one thing and the other department has to sell the whole system only? Answer because it's an up sale! There's no fcc rule, I checked I even found individual components for sale in their retailers catalog! Btw I found the amp I needed for $150 retail! From a cell shop. Bottom line good products horrible customer service trying to lie and blame the fcc for their up saleing and then to stick to that lie to the point I had to go somewhere eles is just horrible customer service especially when they can see I've already bought 3 of these systems at $950 you would think they would have some customer loyalty but nope! I will never do business with Willson directly again I'll go through a dealer with better customer service there doesn't seam to be any kind of price mark up for doing so. I'd stop uesing Willson all together but they are the only one producing a good cell repeter today.

Hi Ryan,

We're sorry to hear about your customer service issues. Unfortunately, it is mandated by the FCC to sell signal boosters in complete kits. It's no upsell nor tactic, we're strictly going by the letter of the law. The statement can be found here: http://transition.fcc.gov/Daily_Releases/Daily_Business/2014/db1009/FCC-14-138A1.pdf (Page 7, Number 20).

Again, we apologize for not explaining this better in the first place. Thank you for your comments.
