Tim is not timid. As the boss he is organised, professional, customer-focused and delivers a quality product in which he takes considerable pride. Tim and Kieran did a fantastic job installing tongue and groove Jackson panelling and gate to secure our side access. They adapted on the day to make a cat size hole for our elderly cats (hedgehogs welcome) in the gravel board despite no prior request from us - thank you. Cats very pleased when they discovered it!
Lovely, friendly and efficient men and also great communication. Highly recommend 1st Aid Fencing and the Jackson products they use.

Good work on very hot day, fence looks great. Could do with better communication from Jacksons who gave no advance notice before the morning they dropped off fence materials on front drive nearly 2 weeks rather than 2 days in advance of work date. Had double booked original installation date so not the total 5* experience we had last time

Many thanks for your valuable feedback. I apologise for the double booking. Occasionally when we’re as busy as we are, things like this very occasionally happen. We did communicate with you as soon as the error was identified and carried out your installation as soon as we could. With regards to the delivery, this is not something I have any control over, as I don’t work for Jacksons, just use their excellent materials. Saying that, they usually notify the client via text message a couple of days before delivery to advise exactly which date and whether AM or PM. I did notify them of the mobile numbers I had on file.
We’re both delighted that you like the fence and hope to be of service again in the future.

Tim visited promptly to measure up our Jacksons fence for alterations, quoted promptly and carried out the work sooner than we expected. He and his assistant worked tidily and efficiently, with no damage to our adjacent planted areas. We had agreed to dispose of the waste materials. There was very little old concrete to dispose of and he cut the wood to length for our wood burner. We would definitely use him again and recommend him as a Jacksons installer.

Great products and a first class installation team. Tim and Kieran worked methodically throughout the day and installed our six metres of feather board fencing and two matching gates. By close of play the job was completed and all debris removed from site. Highly recommended.

I employed 1st Aid Fencing for 6 acre equestrian fencing. My experience was not one which I ever want to repeat. On quotation and his sales pitch he seemed to be experienced in this type of work however, I was extremely disappointed with the work. Management of the work was less than great - delivery of materials (which arrived unannounced when he was on holiday at my house (not field to be fenced) at 5pm one weekday in 18 wheel lorry which caused chaos in the village and people had to move cars to accommodate the delivery. Alot of materials / posts were broken. Tim's response was that I should have been notified of delivery - he showed complete lack of care or concern. My other half had to take a week off work (he is self employed) to manage the work on site as it was clear that 1st Aid Fencing had NO experience of this type of work. I paid 50% deposit upfront and have been threatened and bombarded with emails and texts since completion of work for the balance. I would not recommend this company to anyone looking for this type of fencing.

From our initial visit to quote for a length of Equestrian fencing and some featherboard fencing, the spec was changed by Sara many times. We requoted and worked with her to give her what she wanted. Eventually, the quote was accepted, the 50% deposit was paid and the materials ordered. Once I knew the week that the materials would be delivered, I advised her when we could carry out the installation. The dates initially given were unsuitable for her, so we gave alternative dates.
We also advised which week delivery of the materials would take place and then emailed her 2 days prior to delivery of the exact date and that it would be in the afternoon. (I have no direct control over the exact time) The truck arrived on that day, late afternoon.
After the delivery had happened, I was advised that 6 posts (out of a total of 196) had been damaged in transit and I immediately organised replacements.
We turned up on the agreed installation date to find that the field we were due to fence off, was still occupied by 2 horses and the old fencing, bushes etc was uncleared. Apart from complaining about the delivery and how stressful it had been, Sara did not speak to us again throughout the installation.
Her partner James turned up and managed to arrange at zero notice for a local guy with a mini digger to start clearing the nearly 500m of old fencing, shrubs and bushes that were in the way, while he spent all of the first day putting up temporary fencing to secure the horses. This obviously delayed our installation significantly, but we worked with him, without complaint, as the situation was what it was and the job still needed doing. At no point would James have had to be there, had the preparation work been done before we arrived.
The end product was Jacksons Fencing stakes and posts; all with a 25-year anti-rot guarantee. The Tornado Horse wire, was exactly what she had specified, although after the final quote had been accepted and the order had gone in, she had changed the spec of one section, which required an additional 5 rolls of Tornado fencing at extra cost.
James worked dawn till dusk most days on clearing the old fencing and moving the temporary fencing as work progressed.
The delays caused by the clients lack of preparation caused us to over-run, but we charged no extra for this despite it taking two days longer than it should have.
Everything was installed as per our quote and James was happy with the final result.
A couple of days after completion I sent the final amended invoice to reflect the extra horse wire and waited for payment, which was due on date of completion.
Two weeks later £3565.81 remains unpaid and despite communicating by both email and text to both of them, there has been no satisfactory resolution.
Earlier tonight, I sent a final demand, prior to being forced to take legal action.
An hour later, Sara left both this review and another.
1st Aid 4 Fencing have been in business for 18 years and we always strive to install quality long lasting products and leave our clients happy with the final result. We have installed plenty of agricultural fencing over the years and our numerous 5* positive reviews are testament to our high standards.
It is a shame when debtors choose to use this sort of tactic when they are chased for payment.
Recently had a fence and gate installed by Tim at 1st aid for fencing. I feel 5 stars are not enough for the service I received. From the initial quote, to the ordering of the panels and to the installation the whole process was handled so expertly. The work undertaken - not only the fence but also other work required was carried out to a very high standard. The communication from Tim was excellent. I am very pleased with the end result. Such expertise. A friendly team, Also tidied up afterwards and left the surrounding area looking good. Fully recommend.

We can recommend Tim and Kieran 100%.
They arrived at the set date and time, a few days after the planned delivery date of their materials, they started removing all the old fence, posts and the concrete and then began measuring, levelling all the area out.
The new fence looks spot on, is perfectly level and their attention to detail is second to none.
The 'top cover' along the top of the fence has a perfectly cut angle (thanks to the drone photo!) where the two fences join.
If you're local and looking for a fencing company, these are the guys you need.
Will be in touch again when we decide what to do with the other run of fence.

Firstly, they turn up. When they say they will. A lot these days don't.
Secondly, Tim is some kind of walking encyclopedia on fences and wood. Grab a seat, a cup of tea and listen.
Thirdly, they dig down deep for the posts. Storm 'whatever' can roll on in.
Fourthly, the fence they put up is superb quality and looks absolutely fantastic. Even the neighbour's really pleased.
Fifthly, we have a 25 year guarantee. The fence is going to outlast me.
Sixthly, given all the above, I think it represents excellent value for money.
Seventhly, well, you get the picture, I could you on...if you can afford it, do it, use these guys, you certainly won't be disappointed.
