Price and cover good

Shopped around loads before buying our travel insurance here. The price was good for the cover that it provided. Cannot comment on how good the company itself is because thankfully we didnt need to use their services on our holiday.

Insurance claim

My husband and I were in Madeira with my son. My son broke his collar bone falling out of the shower and I broke my ankle and wrist tripping on the pavement. We were very pleased with the way Avanti settled our claims and have recommended them to others. You take out insurance as a precaution hoping never to use it so this was our first experience claiming in all the years we have taken out insurance. We communicated by email and the assistants were very good explaining everything. Well done Avanti!

Brilliant

Refund

I had booked 2 holidays with my younger sister, sadly she died before we could go on either of the holidays, she was fit and healthy when we booked holidays, my sister was insured with Saga who refunded her money straight away . Trying to get money back from Avanti was like getting blood from a stone .
It cost me a lot of money to take out this holiday insurance as I had recently has an operation although I was fit and healthy, I only got back part of my money and therefore would not use them again.

Travel Insurance help

A very, very helpful company, who went out of their way to assist me in a tricky situation, where I had been refused cover elsewhere for a particular condition. Avanti took me on when others did not!

Great care taken when hospitalised in Florida

Connected to the US team and they were magnificent. They did not just care about the patient but the whole family. Great communication from them throughout. Excellent service. I felt safe in their hands.

Not sure

We have used Avanti previously. We thought the price was a lot higher this year. Haven't had to claim so really do not know how good this insurance is until,then....hope really never to find out!

Good value

This was the best value travel insurance I could find.

Happy holidays

I took out annual cover to allow us to have multiple holidays and peace of mind, the process was made very easy by the consultant and the cost was very competitive , it was win win all round

not accommodating for older people

Needed 11days extension to 31day trip but was refused so the whole trip was not covered even though we had annual travel insurance & were previous customers. Will not use Aviva again.
