Highly recommend

Passed my test was looking for a cheap insurance, got hasting direct as it offered the most for the price, 6 days later I was hit and they drove off, rang hasting and they delt with it all very quickly. No excess to pay and my no claims is protected. Kept me up to date throughout & reassured me.

Great recovery team department.

Stacey , Mel , felicity from recovery team very good members of staff kept me up to date with all going on in the background from turbulent time I have had many thanks I did promise I would leave this review. They are all a credit to the organisation.

Well done Hastings

I’m always very vigilant with renewing my work van insurance. I’m not lazy and shopping around is no trouble at all. I have auto renewed with Hastings Direct this year (2025) because they have come through with the best quote. As a van driver and business owner I feel we get ripped off with policy prices but this year Hastings have come through for me. Only a few quid extra a month. Fingers crossed they do the same every year. Happy customer in South Manchester. Well done Hastings you saved me a job.

Peggy PC SALES 5⭐️⭐️⭐️

I got a quote via your online website and wanted to call and get some more info before I went ahead and purchased- I spoke to Peggy in the private car sales and she was so so lovely, very professional and informative- any questions I had she gave me info instantly- she has amazing customer service and made me feel very secure in my purchase!

On car insurance policy

On car insurance policy, the quote value was unpredictable. The difference between comparison sites and what was offered as a discounted multi car policy increased by £400 based on the same data. Wording on Hastings site makes it unclear and unless you screenshot the various quotes there customer service think you are the problem. Had to cancel and get it refunded.
I'd avoid in the future as a frustrating waste of time.

Friendly & helpful staff

I contacted Hastings to make a couple of changes to my policy. The person dealt with my call efficiently, was friendly & courteous. The changes were made and no fee applied.
This contributed to a good initial experience with this insurance company.

Jack T, great customer service agent!

I had to cancel my policy due to the sale of my business. The agent, Jack T dealt with me in a professional and friendly manner. He wasn’t pushy and sales oriented, instead he was focussed on achieving a happy customer who may one day return with other business. Other Insurance companies take note! Thank you Jack.

Ease of application

Very disappointed in this company

Very disappointed in this company. Was pre approved for a loan with Hastings via clear score I went through the application to be told they needed more information. 24 hrs later they asked for more information which I gave within minutes I was declined. Please stop saying customers are pre approved when they are not. After reading reviews kind of glad I did get declined!!🤣

Best Car insurance on the market

First of all, the person who I spoke to on the phone was very kind, and he was patient, so I would like to thank him, however I don't know his name. Hastings Direct was the cheapest insurance I could find on the market after I had used confused.com to get a quote. Black box is very easy to set up along with the app. All of the trips are auto recorded and the judgement / final score on the black box you receive isn't too harsh. Thank you Hastings Direct for cheap insurance, this is why I give it 5 stars.

Not had a problem with this insurance 17/h2>

Not had a problem with this insurance company yet, loving the fact i can check my driving score and see what needs to be improved on.

Although i had concerns about a black box/tracking device it pay off.

Great experience.

Having required to initiate the car policy by telephone I had my call answered very quickly by someone who was knowledgable and attended to detail. Nothing seemed too much trouble and the policy was attended to with patience and pleasantness. Well done.

Great Value for the money.

Although not actually claimed for anything, hopefully I won’t!,
The price quoted (although not the cheapest) was value for money and services provided are excellent! This was a vast improvement on my previous car insurance company both cost and services.

Amazing

Amazing, the app is super accessible and has everything I need on hand. I love the feature where I can see what points to work on with my driving and helps me to become safer on the roads.

App needs re-thinking

Good price but the app that monitors driving needs re-thinking. It does not consider other drivers at all. If someone pushes in infront or if for any reason you have to accelerate or use your emergency brakes, points are deducted! It is so unfair and this unnecessary pressure could cause an accident.

This company are a joke get passed from 17/h2>

This company are a joke get passed from one person to another, cut off the line then hung up on. It's been over 2 weeks trying to log my claim then as I said wen I get through she she says why am I claiming for my floor if leak has been fixed well because it's ruined all the floor with water damage she then goes to put me through to someone else then hangs up absolutely a joke of a company Ive got a disabled boy who has to walk over a unsafe floor and if he has a accident I'm sueing the company. These need looking into
