Homebase in Bromsgrove has room for…

Homebase in Bromsgrove has room for improvement. While their website showed availability for chime bells, there were none when I tried to click and collect. Luckily, I was notified before traveling, but I hope the refund process is smooth. Staff like Jake and David were excellent, providing attentive service, but product quality like the storage trays was disappointing, making some purchases feel like a waste of money. More staff to assist with loading larger items would also enhance the experience.

Smooth process

Very smooth process to order click and collect items and staff extremely efficient when I collected my items as store was very busy with the closing down sale. The staff always give excellent service in this store

Great till the end

Great till the end. Despite being made redundant the staff were helpful polite efficient. They're doing a fantastic job despite some customers tearing their heads off verbally as either the discounts aren't enough or the zero returns policy. Neither are the staffs fault they're doing their very best in grim times and all suffering fear of the future in terms of work and finance esp in a cost of living crisis. We add to. Their burden and make their smile harder while their already struggling enough. I saw one man in distress in Catford homebase because of a customer I'm sure we can be kinder.

Homebase I'll miss it I've spent alot of money in it because I like the shop the parking, the ethos the ability to see what I'm buying to make an informed choice when I choose my stuff and the ability to touch. I hate that we're working to a cashless long distance relationship with our shopping. I imagine homebase will appear online. The items I bought today as usual were in great condition. I didn't get much discount but I got what I wanted so was happy. The girl serving looked interested she was personable and dressed in seasonal wear which despite how she must be feeling was a lovely thing to see. I'm very greatful

Such a shame that they are closing. Staff have always been super helpful and friendly and continue to be despite the loss of their jobs. Great customer service from Evelyn on the tills. I wish them all well x

Rubbish

I ordered three things on the 12th of December. I hadn't received a delivery update so I emailed. The response was they had gone in to administration and it would be dispatched soon. Fast forward 6 days, I emailed again due to no update. I was then told it hadn't reached the warehouse! I was told it would be dispatched and take 3 working days to arrive. However, I had a message from yodel to say the sender had requested
the parcel back!!! I emailed again to find out the items haven't even been dispatched!!!! I see why Homebase has gone into administration. If they cannot fulfil deliveries, then they shouldn't take the order or money. To not be given any update is terrible.

Great service

Great service, turned up 10 mins before closing to pick up an order, the staff were very helpful brought it out in minutes on a trolley to help me get it to the car

Panic buy of Christmas lights

Micheal was so helpful while I bought Christmas lights for my roof. He went above and beyond working out my measurements as well as advising on how to put them up …thanks Micheal.

Overall satisfying

I recently ordered some home improvement items from Homebase, and I must say, I was quite chuffed with the overall experience. The website offered a splendid range of products, from interior paint and lighting to garden storage and tools, making it an absolute doddle to find everything I needed for my projects. I was particularly taken with their furniture selection, as well as the seasonal Christmas items that added a marvellous festive touch to my home. The ordering process was straightforward, and delivery was prompt and well-organised. While I did notice some areas, like insulation options, could use a bit more variety, I definitely appreciated the frequent clearance sales that offered cracking value for money. All in all, Homebase proved to be a reliable choice for my shopping needs.

Staff were extremely helpful

Staff were extremely helpful. In particular a staff member called Dave and then one called Ben. Both helped me when I asked for it and did so with a smile on such a busy day. Thank you gentlemen, you’re brilliant.

Well Tracey at Homebase Stamford an…

Well Tracey at Homebase Stamford an amazing human being helpful understanding polite we need more people like her in the world and all the staff were very nice and friendly.

On the downside we visited the Huntingdon store and we’re verbally abused by the manager not willing to listen or help or even understand our issues he was that rude we contemplated calling the police disgusting behaviour from the store manager.

Easy to order click and collect

Easy to order click and collect. Order ready quickly and ready for collection. Useful because I could send my husband to collect and be sure he came back with the correct paint!

We did a click and collect order for…

We did a click and collect order for three items but received an email telling us one part of the order for 2 flower pots was cancelled. We went to check and the items were still in stock so we were able to buy them directly. No wonder you are in administration. We would have gone elsewhere if we didn’t have the other item to collect.

Very quick communication informing me a cpl of items in my 'Click & Collect' purchase were out of stock & refunded straight away.
Notification of remaining items were ready for collection very quick as well.
