BE AWARE BUYING IKEA KITCHEN!!!! AWFUL EXPERIENCE!
I decided to buy an Ikea kitchen. After the Ikea planning service on November 5th and measuring service shortly after a kitchen was ordered and paid for. Delivery date set for 16th of December with installation date 17th of December. I received an Email on December 8th to confirm that I am ready for the new kitchen meaning that the old kitchen is removed and all walls in order and enough space to install the new one. I confirmed with the provided link and even called to double confirm.
2 days before the delivery date I had the old kitchen removed including all appliances, water shut etc...empty room.
On the delivery date I received 2 small packages with a couple of cabinet doors...that was all. I received an Email saying that I will get the rest of the items later in the day. I received nothing and nobody contacted me! I called the customer service and I was told ..."Well bad news...the kitchen will not be delivered and the next possible date could be January 10th ..new installation January 21st! Now I have no kitchen! Christmas is only a week away with family arriving. No help from IKEA ...absolutely nothing!!! Not even an Email with the supposently new delivery date. Can't get much worse then that! Order nr. 1478474148 , Ikea Loule, Portugal.

IKEA - The 21st Century Ebenezer Scrooge
Unprofessional, inefficient, incompetent, disrespectful, bureaucratic, belittling...We spent several thousand euros buying a new kitchen for Christmas and 2 months later we are still waiting... Christmas lunch looks like being at Macdonald's as there's no end in sight to IKEAS's very combative attitude. They've actually said we have to deal with their subcontractor who installed the kitchen incorrectly after their kitchen designer and technician gave incorrect measurements. Not nice

Not user friendly
The stock is good, but the system where small mistake in Index leads to the cancelation of the order is stupid. All the address is correct and I have to make all the order again after I receive a call from a delivery company that they cannot deliver because of one simbol in index. Why the hell do you need indexes at all?? you can not read the full address? Not user friendly at all!

Problems non-stop. No responsibility
I'm having a problem with my order (AGAIN). I made it in September and I paid for the delivery. All items were in stock and available. There was no changes in my order and I called to the hot line in around 27th of October and the operator told me everything is good and my order will arrive in time (which is 18th of November). On 4th of November i was contacted from ikea and was told that my order is moved to 31 of december. The reason is something is out of stock and it was discovered on 3rd of November because no one actually reserved the items in september. So basically nothing was happening more for more than a month and then only 2 weeks away from the delivery date the packaging was started.
I told to the operator to remove missing items and deliver whatever is in stock, however she told me that the delivery date still remains 31 of December.
I am furious. I am about to move in into empty house and i have nothing to sleep on even. I have fully paid for my order, I paid for delivery. Ikea provided the delivery date but nothing was reserved and now the PAID delivery is moved more than a month further to NEW YEAR's EVE. This is just ridiculous. I demand Ikea to follow the commitments. I demand the items that I paid for in time that was promised. All was in stock when i placed order so don't take money for something that you can not sell.
If ikea provided different timeline I wouldn't even order.
I don't want a refund. I need my order to be where I ordered it on 18th of November just as I ordered it. If items missing, just remove them and deliver what you have and work out your senseless order packaging logic. Don't sell items if you can't reserve it for the delivery.

Ikea Lisbon, We tried to talk to someone about a delivery and the waiting time was 5hrs this is not good IKea, sort your customer services out please, we also tried calling . they hung up as soon as they answered. we will be using a local supplier next time. we thought that it would be easier and quicker. 4 x single beds and 1 x double bed. will be a good order for a local business.

This provide a service Transport/fitting
This provide a service of Transport and Fitting by paying a fee, 1st fitting, and 1 or 2 people will fitt the furniture for us, the company in partnership with Ikea calls TaskRabbit, which the put me through an message chat and pick the operators willing to do this service, the closest was one was about 50km from my home where service has to be made, but that didn't happen because for the operator/fitter, said was too far away, so the chat bot collapse and going into a cycle looking for people but no one didn't came forward, in the end I had to do it, so this is a poor service, 2nd Transport, Ikea which the transporter could not give use a eta when to deliver the sofa, force me stay at home from 7am until 7pm waiting for them, on this days there is GPS/SatNav installed on every van, it could give an estimate time frame like do DPD. which Ikea should review the contract with TaskRabbit and the company which deliver ikea items, but I am very disappointed, and going use the word of mouth to discourage people use this service

Super Bad service
Although the Ikea in Loule resembles any IKEA store around the world, the kitchen design, pirchase and after sales service is far below par. Some examples: having to pay for every appointment before it can be confirmed (payment link valid 24 hours), issues within garantuee period; called, went to store, called again, but heard nothing ever since, the entire process from purchasing kitchen up to installation: 5 months.

They do not answer EVER. orders are not delivered, and you can not track them either, doesn't answer calls or emails. Once they delivered half a bed after delivery date was well past !!!! yes

Thieves and incompetent
There is no other way to describe the company rather than either absolutely incortant and useless or they are stealing.
I ordered over 700 euros of furniture which should have been delivered more or less 10 days after. Just before the delivery I received a message saying because of logistical problems, a delay of over one month for furniture I need for the opening of my bed and breakfast business in July in Madeira.
Loss of money for me and before the second delivery, another delay is announced!
Plus that the compensation is on the form of vaucher as if you want to deal with them again!
Money has been taken in June and in August no sign of my order!

IKEA refuses to acknowledge undelivered parcel
More than a month after the estimated delivery date, neither the DPD (carrier) tracking system nor the tracking at the IKEA website accuses delivery, making it clear that the parcel has been lost. Nevertheless, IKEA refuses to refund me, saying the parcel was delivered, even though their own website shows it was not.

Several problems with my shopping at…
Several problems with my shopping at IKEA Portugal. These led to frustration and wasted hours.
I purchased a garden couch at IKEA in May and will summarise the series of problems I had with this:
1. The delivery was scheduled at time of purchase, I waited for the 4 hour time window and there was no show. Upon contacting the costumer service they had “lost� my order in the systems even though the payment was billed and withdraw. I had to contact them several times, the first answer was always that the purchase order was not in the system, after some digging they would find it. I was accused of trying to defraud IKEA and had to prove I did the payment. The costumer service was terrible, frustrating and insulting.
2. We scheduled a new time for delivery of the item purchased in 1. There was no show whiting the agreed time window 9:00-13:00, apparently the team was delayed but I couldn’t wait for more hours due to professional commitments.
3. Yet another delivery was scheduled after wasting more time with costumer support. This time the delivery team arrived within the allocated time span but with an incomplete couch (some parts were missing as they were out of stock). As I ordered 1 couch and not separate parts I did not want to accept this delivery. After many discussions with costumer support I was forced into the decision of accepting the incomplete couch with a promise to deliver as soon as the remaining parts were available or I would loose 40EUR(the transportation fee).
5. After almost 3 months I still don’t have a complete couch. I was contacted to say that the remaining parts are out of stock and are now discontinued, so they will reimburse the payment for those parts only.
This is outrageous, I don’t want an incomplete couch- I ordered a single item. How is this legal that I will get reimbursed only for the missing parts??
Upon complaint, they would then collect the incomplete couch and give me back the full amount but not the delivery fee. They will not dismantle the couch and I would need to do it. This is overall completely unacceptable and illegal.

Lost 75€ due to Ikea Error
Rented van (74€) to pickup order at scheduled hour, after waiting several weeks for the order. As I arrived at warehouse, received a text message that the order would be delayed. Several hours later, I learned the order would be delayed more than six weeks. Complaints led no where, including Livro De Reclamacoes.

After over 20 years of being a loyal…
After over 20 years of being a loyal IKEA customer I no longer will purchase ANYTHING from them online for delivery. DPD the carrier delivered the package to the wrong address and someone named Ricardo, person unknown to me, signed for it. I immediately contacted IKEA and let them know the package had not been delivered to my home or to me. DPD insist they came to the correct address. In 2024 alone I have purchased over 2000€ in IKEA merchandise. Why cause such a fuzz for a 90€ package, containing two outdoor lights and a rug stabilizer. I have spoken to 3 different Customer Service people. Wasted time. I will be adding a claim to the Livro Vermehlo.
